​@@HenryAbramsonPhD thats great ,professor abramson 💯i saw you on a recent documentary on the jewish revolt against Rome between 66 and 70ce with other guest speakers such as Helen bond whose another scholar you guys also commented well on josephus and his defeat in jotapata,and i remember you said if we had other sources as what actualy happened in the hiding place josephus and the rebels where hiding in and they choosing to lay down their lives rather than be taken by the Romans similar to masada we may possibly get a clearer picture as to what actualy accourd in the hiding place as josephus and one other judean rebel where left when he surrendered to vespasion and Titus🗡the visua💯l effects in that documentary where well done especialy with the actors and the narrators style wasnt bad it was nice to see you talking with the other scholar😊s in that documentary that was quite imformative i see theres another about King Herod il check that one out as well

A heartfelt thank you, Dr. Abramson, for providing this KZbin vehicle to learn Jewish History with you. I've so enjoyed your KZbin videos, AllDaf video "noshes" and Zooms from around the country and around the world (Hungary, the cruises etc.). All of them together, have provided me with chronology and context for, and integration of, the decades worth of what before seemed to be random shiurim I have attended since I graduated school. Before, I either heard or read so much material on the fly, in shul, in summer camp, on vacation, commuting on the subway, in adult ed programs since my years of Modern Orthodox Day School. It all seemed like One Big Jumble... with names of scholars, cities, commentaries or wars I heard about again and again.... I sort of had a timeline, but not a deeper examination of explanatory factors, or have real insight to *what it all meant*. Your material, delivered in such a scholarly and accessible way, has finally knit together for me so much of our Jewish History, Jewish Texts and their Commentary in such a personally meaningful way. You've not only illuminated my Daf, but inspired me to continue my Jewish learning in both history and texts for the rest of my life. Your material has made me even prouder to be a Jew, and to continue the chain of passing on Jewish knowledge that alas so many of my ancestors in The Shoah did not live to do.
