Meh ... BFD. We don't need all you KZbin product reviewers ... you all talk, talk, talk, about your equipment, but have nothing to say using it. You need to say something useful - talking about equipment is boring - real people talk about real ideas with high value, like economics, religion, morality, business, health care, crime and other important topics - what mic and interface one uses matters NOT to conveying a meaningful and significant message. Waste of time talking about gear with nothing meaning to say using it. AND, if you are still lugging your own amp you have not really made it - real bands have roadies and a semi truck - you remain a hobbyist. Enjoy the hobby, old man, but all this chatter about gear is unimportant given the grave problems facing society. Just my take. Thanks for yours. JTW

Yo bud. I wish to see you take a two week (or more) epic vacation. Let this start the fund. Take some time, get away, have fun, as if you were 25 again. As for the "old Bandrew" hot take on not need big output heavy head & amps, I wonder if that may be a sign of maturity (age). IMO, as we age, we no longer need music to be ear damaging loud. While those wild animals we used to be, couldn't seem to turn it up enough. How many past concerts led to the last song being more ear damage static distortion, than the quality it now is with reasonable loudness. At least you are still young enough, that you don't have to, "turn it up," simply because your hearing is going away with age. Enjoy life buddy. May every day find you smiling at its end.

MY GOSH LIBERTY! Thank you so much for this. It means so much! That last sentence of your comment is fantastic advice and I do my best to accomplish that each day. Thank you again Liberty.

24:54 Great idea, Bandrew! I hope you do more of these “What I Like” segments, and honestly that’s quite a decent name :) Thanks to you today I’ve discovered couple new bands I’ve never heard before. Cheers!

20:00 is so true! 1000 positive comments + 1 negative comment = 1 negative comment (in our content creator minds) lol... Also playing live music with other musicians is so much fun for sure. Great episode!

Thanks for the answer. That makes perfect sense. Stay awesome! PS. I love the F3 and would love to hear your take on it.

You're welcome. I'll definitely add it to the list and look forward to checking it out. Really appreciate ya.

@@bsp While you're at it, pick up the Neutrik NA3FM so you can plug XLR directly into the F3 without another cable.

@@bsp Sure thing, bro! Have you ever tested the SE Electronics DM2? It's an inline preamp booster with variable resistance that changes the mic's tone. I think that's similar to what UA Apollo interfaces do with the different Unison preamp plug-ins.
@bsp7 ай бұрын
I have not tried the DM2. Sounds similar to the Cloudlifter CLZ which is something else that would be interesting to hear how the impedance actually impacts the performance of a mic.

As always, thanks so much for being in my ears dear sir. I have never heard of Four Year Strong… but now I love them! So thanks for the ‘Weekly Wonders’ (or ‘weekly wonderings’ ? Do either of those work??). 🙏😇

damn damn - been researching for possible cameras to use as web cams - and it was a nice reminder that using a DSLR might be a really budget friendly way to get to do it - finding/buying 2nd hand
@bsp7 ай бұрын
Just make sure the camera has the ability to function as a webcam. Older canon's did not have that ability without some 3rd party firmware.

Segment name suggestion: "Bandrew Benjoys." It's silly alliteration for the sake of alliteration, but it's short and easy to remember.

Man, i hear ya on the amp thing. I had the Marshall dsl100 for a while, before that i had the Hughes and Ketner tri amp mk 2 150 watt, both using a 1960a 4x12 Marshall cab.. then i went smaller for a bit, a couple combo amps-- then i went to a Mesa triple rectifier with a mesa 412. finally got fed up and trading for a Drz maz 2x10 combo 18(best amp ever) like a moron i traded it for a Mesa combo electra dyne 2x12 combo.. its an okay amp, but i miss my Drz.. i am trying to sell it now and move on to a amp modeler maybe a Helix or something along those limes.. But its hard, because I'm kind of old school and have a hard time of letting go of the idea of Tube amps
