I gotta say those tracks are much nicer than the stocks. the smaller opening doesn't really matter, your not supposed to dig over the final drive motors anyways..... ha ha ha. I also like the on demand pump, it seems to smooth out the hydraulics even more. great video!!

That was a pretty good side load! There are some operators that can actually do this and more! Dad being a retired operator and having ran a few machinery myself, I've watched some videos of some cool operating skills. My uncle himself 'unburied' a backhoe down at the farm. Using the bucket and boom to pull out of the muddy field.

LOL, As a heavy haul transport driver. Seeing this excavator sitting on the tires while on the transport. Drives me crazy!!! I can see it is do to the "metal on metal" and the tracks slip. So yeah I get why it must be. 😉 However! The whole setup you have here is pure badass! I have looked for an RC setup like this one. But have never found the Kenworth W900 model tractor that you have here.

Perfect job, that is what we discussed about the advantages of hydraulic pump channel mixing , getting rid of the persistent pump humming tinnitus was a blessing and on mine I also have a switch for on-demand turning the pump always if I need extra pump boost .

With the smaller motor, the mixing was possible. The larger motor, the mixing can not happen. I also have the switch on for the boost. Now.. to wait for 3-4 months for the ground to thaw.. sighs ahah ;) Happy New Year!!

The motor upgrades were a huge improvement! Moves so much smoother n quicker, the hyd dont sound as loud now. U do know your NOT supposed to side load right? Lol. Ive seen trailers twisted n huge cracks in the side web of the beams from side loadin. U know, a front load lowboy would be even more challeging for loadind wars. U have to line the neck back up to the trailer to hook back to it after loadin.

cool cool... I didn't realize about the loading wars. Im glad I watched this video. I have never really been into RC Heavy Equipment. However after the tank build Im changing my mind. I would have killed for something like these when us old schoolers had Tonka Trucks back in the day. How times change. I think if I got into these my whole backyard would turn into a work site. Does that mean I suddenly get younger or am I just being a big kid making up for a technologically deprived childhood? LOL

Great update video. As you can see with the side loading of the excavator, they wouldn't be doing it or hauling it like that because it's not secure or stable. Blocking (carried in front of trailer) can be placed on the ground beside the trailer to drive on to get up to the deck. But a realistic lowbed or trailer could either be scratched up or have wood plank decking for side loading so as not to drive over the trailer tires.

Do you ever have problems with your servo horn stripping? Or the screw constantly coming loose? My axial wraith is brand new, and the servo horn already stripped. Should I get a metal one or a lock washer or something? Thoughts anyone?

I always get aluminum steering horns, my friend. The reason being.. the plastic ones strip way too easy, from the slightest bumps :)

You should make a wooden deck cover fixed to the trailer floor to stop the metal on metal scratching issue. Those tyres are messy and unstable. A lot of old skool lowloaders had wooden decks and they are replaced every few years after some inevitable damage.
