Why does KZbin allow music video channels to operate? Ex: 80s Hits, New Wave 80s etc… channels are created to exclusively play music videos. I’m creating a sketch comedy channel and want to play a music video at the end. I plan to monetize the channel and don’t know the difference between their channels playing 100s of music videos and my 10? Thank you for your time.

I think the use of artist's music for other people to make money off of it should get a cut of the proceeds instead of the reaction people getting all of the money off of music they had nothing to do with or be banned from using it for personal monetary gain.

Hopefully, you can help me with this Nick. We have many accounts with third-party music platforms; MusicBed, Artlist, Soundstripe, etc. We always have problems with MusicBed and Artlist on youtube where we have to share music ad revenue, but not with Soundstripe. So, why do I have to share ad revenue for my music when I'm already paying for a license to use it on youtube? Am I missing something?

So those channels who use the music you have composed, you do not need to have a channel yourself, but you can demonetize your compositions off their channel? And if they won't obey, you can send them a strike?

Thanks for the video. But if I uploaded remixes, mashups and mixes that aren't mine but when the youtube warned me what song I can't use and I deleted it, can I still earn money with the other songs in the mix that don't affect my channel?

Hi, can you please help me ? Thanks for the video. I have been wanting to start a music channel for a long time, but I have no idea how to go about it. I would like to start a Chill Music channel, making 1 hour videos of Chill Electronic music like other channels, such as Fluidified, Blume, MixHound, etc. I believe that almost all the artist's on there are not any big time main stream artists. Do these channels ask permission personally from each artist? Or do they just tag their profile pages in the description? Thank you so much for any help !!!!!

How do these channels manage to get the views. in 2023, as of now, when I upload even remixed versions of those tracks, youtube comes along and says that the music is copyright and therefore, it just doesn't get the same amount of views. How do the other channels do it?

From what I have seen it looks pretty safe. However, don’t forget about attribution because they require it. Again, in legal world there is no such thing as hundred percent safe, but this one at least seems OK

NOTE: I just got a copyright hit on two video that I have rights to. Problem is I can't use their dispute process because KZbin won't take my password and KZbin's system to reset a password is not working PLUS it's impossible to reach someone with youtube, I've tried a dozen or more ways, so if you are someone out there knows how to get in touch with a human that works for KZbin PLEASE advise. Only channels with 100k+ subs have direct contact in KZbin. Plus, nothing will help you without you password. You gotta figure this one first. Plus, there is no such thing as Copyright "hit". It is either a "strike" or "claim". Claim is ok, Strike is Bad

Sorry I use the wrong term, you are right via KZbin's email "This is not a copyright strike." it's a "A copyright claim" ,,, 'Hit' is a synonym for 'Strike' ... .. Being I couldn't upload new videos I created my channel named Gator Deitz ..Reference your reply "You gotta figure this one first." I've tried and being I haven't been able to contact KZbin I'm asking others if they know how to contact a real person with youtube. One can't reply to the email notice they send out reference 'A copyright claim was created for content’.

Again, even if you will get to someone from KZbin, they WILL NOT help you if you can't access your account. There are dozens of cases where people were hacked and KZbin STILL would not help people to retrieve their accounts, because they won't do anything from outside. Plus, what does "Won't Take My Password" even mean? Aren't you connected through Google Account? Google Account Password reset works fine, I literally checked it now.

Hi! I have a big question. There's a lot of channels out there that talk of earning money just by re-uploading Creative Commons Videos. How true is that? Can our channel be terminated in case we re-upload CC videos, or do we not qualify for the KZbin Partner Programme even though we may have 4000 watch hours and 1000 subscribers? Or should one edit and put some originality in the CC videos to actually make money? Please help

I will not lie to you, I have heard about this method million times now but I have never used it myself. However, I have actually heard that KZbin is blocking a lot of creative Commons channels, and I mean blocking monetization. Plus there are so many people who are trying to “game” the system with this “easy” make money method, that I don’t think that is even worth to try. People on KZbin are not idiots, they know what those people are trying to do, so I wouldn’t try their patience if I were you. So my suggestion is to create an original content, and trust me, even though it sounds difficult it will save you a lot of headache and problems in the future

For example, you have a lot of CDs that you bought back in the day, you want to create a KZbin channel and post them just for listening purposes, what happens?

You don't own the music by buying it, you simply licence it for personal use. As soon as you upload it on KZbin, you are going outside of personal use scope (yes, even if you intend to listen by yourself). Therefore your music will get claimed or strike (whichever is preferable for the rightsholder)
