The feeling of being done with harvest is kinda the same feeling you get after done planting and the rain chases ya to the shed. Then the real fun begins of cleaning everything that ya had so much fun in!!! That Jim seems like a guy that ya could set down with a few coooool ones and tell ya story’s for hours.

We just finished up today as well. This has been the best year we have ever had. We had some corn that was going 270 bushels an acre and it was dry too so we didn't need to run the dryers much. Time to start tilling.

I’m using my wife acc.l grew up in Graceville moved to St Paul in 56 I was 15. We were out there Oct. 11 for a burial. I had lost touch with the way farming is today. I knew it was big. Not like my Grandfather’s farm in the 20 and 30s when they were using horses. When we moved in 1956 my one uncle’s tractor was Ford but he and his brother’s shared everything to get the job done. Thanks for the education

Its always best to check the fluids! An extra 90 seconds to open the hood and pullin a dipstick can save thousands of $'s! Farming is almost the same steps oil producing. 1. Drill 2. Work over 3. Produce/harvest 4. Separate water/ oil /gas 5. Collect 6. Sample to see how much water trash you have in the oil(BS&W) 7. sell

It would be interesting to know more about the yields you got on the test plot and is that information useful considering the weather we have had this year. We only grow hay for our horses but the cheap seed grew just as well as the name brand and survived this years drought a lot better.

Zack, a friendly word of advice, never pull your trailer brakes on after runnin in wet conditions, 49 year long gear puller advice. If ya pull on ya trailer brakes with moisture is a high high chance of a shoe hanging up. Or freezing on you. is always good practice never set the trailer brakes, cause the truck ones you can brake free with the drive power. just let sit with air on wont hurt no one or nothing.
