I'm gonna get a lot of hate for sharing this opinion, but I just hated the concept behind Unus Annus. I mean, it's a pretty self-righteous and pompous concept. I didn't watch any of the videos at all, but I saw the video where he announced the channel, and from the very start he was treating it like some grand artistic genius, to create a channel with a limited lifespan. It's not that I think all channels should be immortal or anything, but I hate how his vision of the channel was meant to be some sort of intense cultural/artistic thing. The "you had to be there" kind of situation. If your goal is to create a "you had to be there" experience, then you are already off on the wrong foot and need to check your ego. I'm a little bothered that his objective was reaffirmed by his diehard fanbase. I have nothing against Markiplier or the others he had on that channel, I just feel like that channel's existence was pretty self-serving.
