This isn’t so so bad, if it wasn’t for the hundreds upon hundreds of ai generators each with their many, many, many users generating images at once, which uses a lot of power and releases a good amount of pollution into the air

Basically, Gen AI takes up a lot of water and power, some companies restarted dangerous nuclear reactors just to power their Gen AI and they are creating more pollution creating one image than a car makes in a week (if I remember the numbers correctly. Plus most Gen AI databases are made by stealing the data of people and creators, 90% the data they're harvesting to train this stuff is taken without permission or compensation. Clarifying I am not talking about medical AI like the stuff to find cancer. I am specifically talking about Gen AI, which is used to generate images, text, and sometimes videos based on prompts.
