Amazing content as always. I think that being a KZbinr is very similar to running a business. You should upload things what people want to see, and that's the first step to success. When you start growing, you hire people to do different jobs for you like editing, script writing, etc... The most difficult part is starting a channel of course (what helps me the most is that after I post content, I use a little bit of Famester to make it go viral. This helped me to take off my channel and after that everything became much easier).

I’ve tried it all. For me nothing has had the effect of pushing a viewer over the edge to like or subscribe. Video after video after video. I improve and part of that improvement is trying something new. So between three different videos I tried asking for this at different times of the video. Didn’t move the scale for me. Approaching 4 years of owning a channel and I haven’t been able to do a single thing to gain momentum that keeps going. Even used tube buddy for a long while as my main tool and even using suggestions the tools recommended still didn’t move the needle. It’s gotten to a point where I don’t have that energy and excitement anymore. I just make a video and don’t even look at the states. I’m proud of the video i know I did an awesome job that’s all that matters. It’s based on research and it’s what’s in demand. So I upload and just go on to the next idea. Started to not give a darn about the numbers because they will do what they are going to do. Is if I can’t get the numbers I want and I have minimal influence then why worry. Just make a video. Do my best. And move on.
@RomanDoes Жыл бұрын
you have a very unique content, this is why you don't get as many clicks as let's say tech youtubers like ourselves because we follow the latest trends on the market for content. With that said, we lots of "seasonal" viewers while in your case once they discover you, they will keep watching you no matter what. Points that I would change in your videos: 1. Pace - make your videos faster and more vibrant. Maybe get a teleprompter if that helps. Have a look at what psychology youtubers do, as this is your niche. 2. Thumbnails - work on style, copy from the best and make sure you stand out. 3. Frame - maybe get away from the camera bit further, but that's just my taste. Let me know if that helped later on! Feel free to stay in touch!
@leosthrivwithautism Жыл бұрын
@@RomanDoes My friend that’s awesome advice. And you are right. Which thinking of jumping on the KZbin creator train I did research and found a potential audience of millions of people looking for autism related videos it’s why I jumped in. But overall I can see what you mean. My most recent videos have been more up close and personal because I was testing the format and also because I recently moved and my gear is still packed meaning I had to hold my iPhone to film myself. And as far as thumbnails I’ve been taking inspiration by some much bigger autism channels out there but not having as much luck. Sometimes I wonder if I accidentally attracted the wrong audience not really meant for my kind of content and it’s why I’m not winning. The audience is just rejecting my content. I don’t know. I did start up a second channel talking about technical support more in the tech field. Since I’ve been in IT forever. But that too didn’t start strong. So for now I’m leaving that as a project for when I have time. I’ve been at this for nearly 4 years now. Watch time is still a headache as I cannot get people to stick around and engagement is low. Try as hard as I can to put a little mystery behind my videos, ask questions , and really give people an incentive to interact they don’t. It’s annoying from a creator standpoint. But I get it. If the video just isn’t resonating people won’t engage. So I just keep improving and trying something new. I can’t say it’s a complete failure though. I mean I do have 590 subscribers. So I’m inching closer to that 1k mark. Charge are on a very slow up trend. It’s just that I don’t have cash to sustain it paying it out of my own money to keep things alive. And not having the money to upgrade my presence, etc. means the challenge gets tougher. But again I thank you very much for the tips. It’s how I learn. And it’s one more piece of data I can use to improve things. 👍

the only way to be successful is to never give up! you have some great content! I know that if you never give up you will get where you want to be someday! also, you have a new subscriber ;)
@leosthrivwithautism Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I appreciate the comment a lot! The biggest challenge is the watch time analytic. That’s been a main focus I’ve been trying to get it to move and it’s just stuck. But like you said not giving up is the answer. And truth be told I didn’t start the channel just to quit it. I comment on these support videos to hopefully get advice. See what other creators are doing and see if maybe they know something I’m just not seeing. But quitting is never an option. It’s just venting and talking it out and trying to figure out what other way I can take care of things to get it moving just a tad bit faster! Thank you for the support and comment!

I'm also high functioning autistic and married to someone on the spectrum. I took a look at your content and think that something you should try more is experiementing. It seems like you've settled on what you feel like your "topic" and "thumbnails" look like, but you're currently in the stage where you need to be looking at successful people with similar channels and experimenting a lot. Something I think more people would be interested in is a vlog like style of day to day life of someone with autism! I think that would personally appeal to more people, and would be a more approachable way for people to learn about autism/high functioning autistic people. Sorry for the spastic advice. I hope you know I mean this in the most constructive/helpful way. I hope for your channel to have success!
