Lots of great movies on the list! I will definitely be watching several of your recommendations. I would throw Night Hunter into the mix of possible runner-up options for those looking for a decent thriller-type movie. That said, I approach movies more as a CinemaWins type of movie watcher versus CinemaSins type of movie critic. Hope that makes sense.

I concur on 'Eternal Sunshine.' Great movie. I happened to see 'Real Steal' some years ago. The premise of boxing giant robots seemed silly but the movie was quite good. It was from a story by Richard Matheson.

I absolutely love Pitch Black, I was working at Hollywood Video at the time and literally no one had heard of it, I recommended it to everyone I could and not a single customer complained. I totally agree about Chronicles, it just wasn't the same, they went too big. But Riddick was more like the P.B. it had the same feel. Great list as always, loved the Mexican, need to watch it again, it's been too long...oh yes, I also greatly enjoyed the Count of Monte Cristo, I didn't think it was my thing but my sister made me watch it and I really enjoyed

Anyone who liked The Raid and its sequel will be happy to hear that director is co-creator of a series that recently showed up on Netflix. Gangs of London has tremendous action and a layered plot that warrants careful viewing. There'll be a third season, too

Lots of good ones on here, but my favorite is definitely Count of Monte Cristo! It’s a required read and watch in my household and the star power is memorable. Besides the literary aspect, the soundtrack is top notch and all you have to do to get into the plot is pay attention to innocence vs. corruption so as to enjoy the classic ethical revenge action epic

I loved The Conspiracy, but wouldn't call it found footage. I've heard it called a Mockumentary, and that's certainly closer, but that term usually means comedy to me. Fictional documentary? Whatever you call it, it's quite good, with an excellent soundtrack.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind definitely deserves the number 1 spot for this list. Before I watched it for the first time, I had never heard of it, but I like Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet so I wanted to give it a watch. It's in my top 10 all-time movies for how unexpected it was and the way it was able to convey a story I felt like I have never experienced before. Just a side note: if you haven't seen Carrey in 'The Majestic' before, I rate that equally with Eternal Sunshine for his dramatic performance and love that unique story as well.

I’m surprised and pleased that Eternal Sunshine got the top spot. I love this movie! It is weird and charming and heartbreaking and hilarious. A friend and I went to see it in a packed theater. We laughed and laughed. But we were the only ones laughing. I guess it went over a lot of people’s heads.

Stopped the video to say The Mexican is fantastic! Saw it in the theater, can't recommend it enough, one of my favourites! Stopped again, Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole is excellent! When I was in fourth grade, the teacher started reading it to the class but for some reason we never got to finish it and I never remembered the name of the book but when this movie came out I knew I'd found it.

Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole is a big fave, here. I have the 3D version (and a 3D tv, of course), and it has incredible, gorgeous depth. It's my go-to choice to demonstrate the TV for friends who don't 'get' the 3D thing. A perfect movie for fans of sophisticated animation.

The Hollow Point on your list, not to be confused for Hollow Point (1996). Hollow Point stars Donald Sutherland as an unhinged assassin, driven mad by his former commander, played with aplumb by John Lithgow, and both are pursued by an FBI agent (Tia Carerra) and also a DEA agent (the very understand Thomas Ian Griffith).

I got the rental display copy of that movie. "FOR DISPLAY ONLY, NOT FOR RENTAL OR SALE" pops up at the bottom every now and then, doesn't take away from Donald Sutherland stealing the show every time he's on set. Best buck I ever spent on a vhs, even copied it over to DVD for archival purposes.

Not so secret. I watch a fair amount here on YT. However, I refuse to watch any unless they are OVER 480p. 720p is fine. 480p is so 35 years ago. I HATE SD. I hated SD when that was the best u could get. Give me at LEAST 720p. Any more resolution is a bonus
