I've become so numb to sponsorships and ad reads. I 100% get why people do them, and I have nothing against the creators, but I do not care about whatever product you're interrupting the video for. Shout out to the people who put the ad in the chapter section of their videos so I can skip it easily tho, love you guys.

There's this nifty plugin for most browsers called sponsorblock which skips them automatically and it's pretty easy to set up

It's crazy to me how there is constant talk about the mobile market, its misleading ads and how gambling is always snuck into games meant for children but somehow gaming channels will still turn around and promote them. It's honestly no different than being sponsored by stake.

@@Nikowo1610 The US doesn’t have enough housing for everyone for multiple reasons: 1 Boomers had a bunch of children, and when they grew up the country wasn’t ready for all those adults moving out 2 Constant immigration to the country makes the population problem even worse 3 Too many individuals owning more property than they should be allowed to, whether it be wealthy retirees buying vacation homes or investors owning assets for the sake of it 4 America has always been wasteful in many ways, but especially with space. Suburban homes with yards 10 times larger than they need to be. Car infrastructure and cars themselves occupying obscene amounts of space. I could go on. All these factors contribute to the low supply and high demand in America’s housing market.

i've had sponsorblock for years now, but i noticed that sponsors often get placed right as you're already invested into the video to try and maximize the amount of people clicking the link. but since i have it i never see sponsors. Didn't even realize you had a roboquest sponsor until you mentioned it in this video lol, but it does seem cool so i'll check it out. FPS roguelike is an underdone genre, but one i think could be great (can't wait for Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core!)

This is why i literally cannot use youtube without some form of sponsorblock the amount of sponsored videos I've seen detected by this plugin has blown my mind no joke they ruin the video and only shows that the creator wants to make money and nothing else sure there are some creators like mrbeast who reinvest the sponsor money to continue to make amazing content as well as youtube channels that have more then one person working on them obviously they need to pay employees and there youtube career alone might not be enough but that's it sponsorblock is also a privacy tool to an extent dose anyone remember that sketchy sponsorship thing called established titles its still hard for me to forgive KZbinrs that have worked with them in the past I have even started to stop supporting creators that do one too many sponsorships and that's the key to fixing everything if we want to have even just a small chance at stopping this sponsorship crisis we could start by not supporting creators who have done sponsorship deals and then see where we can go from there sadly it may soon become even harder to do this as there's rumors that youtube is implementing tools that help creators get sponsorship deals

It is so cool you got sponsorships from developers. I really hope more reach out as I love to hear about and see new video games. It honestly was a relief in a space filled with the same sponsors repeatedly shoved down our throats over and over. After almost 10 years of listening to podcasts and videos every day they’ve become nails on the chalkboard annoyingly grating. I understand it’s how KZbinrs and podcasters make their money but as an avid consumer I can’t stand them. I really appreciate it when KZbinrs add timestamps to skip them or they put them at the end of the video to skip them.

I believe sponsorships are more effective when the individual believes in the product they're advertising. In the case of games like raid, you can tell that the youtuber would never play the game despite promising they love it.

That raid Shadow legends video you did was how I found your channel, and in a was was how I eventually got into hollow knight, kinda odd I know but on the topic of the video there is this one video I remember with the worst form of sponsorship I have seen even was in this video that intentionally put details of the video in between the sponsorship to force the viewers to watch the sponsorship in order to not miss important shit, luckily most of the comment in that video complained about that and from I have seen the channel hasn’t done that again but damn was it awful.

ads in mobile games are just a showstopper for me. I remember back in the day with a pitiful LG vortex, I was able to get Angry Birds installed, but ads would slow down the loading like crazy. What to do... Oh right, they all relied on an internet connection. Plop the phone to airplane mode. You don't need leaderboards. Just raw Angry Birds OG gameplay. It was good. Now if you do that it'll probably just say "hey, you lost connection. Please reconnect to continue." I get there are good mobile games out there, but with all of the garbage surrounding it? I will just never respect that market.

Yea, recently Genshin Impact has had a resurge in sponderships. Even KZbinrs like the Act Man fell for it. Which is ironic cause he usually makes vidoes criticising the game industry and yet he promotes a gambling simulator.
