You need to add RAM to your Mac. That's why final cut pro was crashing originally. 8gb of RAM is nothing nowadays. Actually 16gb is not much. I am a content creator here on KZbin. I increased my PC from 16gb RAM to 64gb of RAM and everything changed. No more crashes. Smoother & faster multitasking.

New setup looks good just wanted to know if you know if the cam link is good to record a podcast on rather than livestream thanks for all the helpful info

I use it for both recording and live streaming. If you record straight to the ssd card in the camera, it’s not needed but for any connection to the computer for 4k, it’s needed.
