Winning combination is to give your viewers the thing they want to see. Being a KZbinr is like a business, and business owners give people products/services that people need in their life. It's practically the same. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of Famester to help) will always pay off at the end. I used KZbin Shorts to blow my channel up. Took me 7 months to reach 150k subscribers. I just got my checkmark and the silver play button. I posted 4 shorts per week the first 3 months and then went to 2 per week. Now, I'm planning on adding in some long form content to boost the income. My first month being monetized I made over 2k. Keep at it!

Subscribers DO matter though. It’s like saying likes don’t matter or the number of comments don’t matter. New subs are another positive metric for the algorithm to pump out your videos more. And subscriber numbers are especially important when negotiating brand deals.

Not necessarily true though for the companies. The companies hiring inuencers are noticing the trend of channels having fake followers, comments, etc. They are finding better metrics to use when qualifying potential business partners they will invest with. They really just want to make sure you have an organic following that will follow your lead when giving out actions to take... The more you can convert to sales and/or actions, the more money you should make. Hope this helps...

Only because they make the algorithm count subscribers but it's just not realistically feasible for us to subscribe to everyone in fact it's hard keeping track of just 30 channels nevermind 50 or more and there's too many people making videos now. Out of those i'm subscribed to i only regularly tune into 3 of them because i simply don't have the time or the mental energy to try and keep up with the rest so i just search things and a lot of people have gone the same way. I think it's time they changed it and just make subscribers an optional thing.

I got monetized in 35 days and got approved for YPP immediately. I noticed the following two videos drop in views and impressions. Retention was horrible. Everything up until being monetized was dreamy. I quickly removed myself from YPP and it went back to growing and blooming like before. I’d rather be free to reach more likeminded individuals than being paid for ads and so on for now.

My advice: Get subscribers on YT shorts, and watchtime hours on long format video. Don't worry about copyright issues if you are getting started. It doesn't matter. You are still not monetized anyway. But you will get the hours you need. The most watched long form video is music compilation. Add interesting videos to it.

I can attest she's right. I am close to 4k and actually got to be a KZbin partner within the first year of starting my channel in 2010. BUT!!! I dumbly stopped uploading content for a few years and my views went down drastically and essentially got kicked out the partnership lol. TRUTH‼️ I just hit 100k subs on 5/13/24 and I'm not monetized 😤 I got monetized in March, demonetized in April for what they consider "reused content" after hours of editing and curating said "reused" content (I can reapply in July) Advice: Original content always wins! (just follow guidelines) If you're going to curate content you MUST add your likeness (commentary and or "add value" editing like using different clips to express the subject of the video)

It's really disappointing though cause when KZbin started in the early years, numbers made such an impact. Many of us worked years to build the numbers and generally most of our uploads would get to at least 10-20% of our subs. Now it's a post and pray algorithm across all social media. It's sad actually.

i allways suspected that subscribers, is just there to show how popular a channel is. like its a natural thing to look "how many subs does she have,..oh that many...she must make good stuff if so many people subscribe." i think this is more prevalent than anything the algorythm does

Last 10 months, I have started 7 faceless youtube channels, among them 2 have been monetized, other 2 are still not monetized but earning more money than yt adsense but 3 of them are dead. My take from this journey is; #1: Choose a right niche #2: Yt algorithm works differently in different niche #3: When yt algo kicks in, push it harder to get as many subscribers as you can
