.. which per your point about replacements/updates, would have been much more functional to do on vimeo. :-) That point about replacements explains why searching on KZbin consistently produces out-of-date guides to software which constantly changes - the authors can't do a replacement without losing the ranking of the video. I now put "2023" at the end of each such search. Can we get KZbin to change to allow replacements, for the benefit of users?

Great Vid!!! Why is there NO WHERE online to discuss or ask about Vimeo??? Is that not the strangest thing? I have a business account but am in the dark using it!

You can certainly use both. We do. We use Vimeo for clean embeds on our website and then some our client hosted videos. But for vast majority of businesses KZbin will be your best bet.

really great points. They are definitely two different tools. And, I totally agree - if you're just starting out YT is a great choice. But, for more sophisticated needs, moving over to Vimeo would be a must.

I don't have a video on that. Most likely KZbin going to be your best bet, unless you have a small niche market and you wanted to setup a paywal.

Hussein Ibrahim both KZbin and Vimeo have community guidelines on content. I’d check out those if you are concerned about removal.

Correct, you have an option to disable direct downloads. Although do note, someone could always use a 3rd party app to download it or screen record the video if it is public. Vimeo does give you advanced privacy controls such as hiding it from Vimeo, requiring a password, a private link, or giving embed access only to certain websites. Thanks for watching!

Look at the premium or business plans. I believe you are able to sell videos there or setup a paywall. But I do not have experience doing that myself.

i like vimeo. just two issues i have personally is you can't contact them through phone only e-mail. and if you cancel the monthly payment do to financial reasons. vimeo will cancel all your videos on ur own account. that's huge. You paid for it so why would they delete all of my videos????? SMH and very shameful...

For every vimeo video, I upload 3 min demo of that to.youtube and then put link to vimeo for purchase of the product if they want to continue.

isn't there a way to search for videos WITHIN a user's channel using keywords?? So say a Vimeo user has 200 videos on his Vimeo channel. It would take VERY long to find the video we are looking for by scrolling endlessly through all his 300 posts. Whenever I go to a user's channel and search for a video (by THIS user) by typing in a keyword in the search bar, I get results from ALL OVER VIMEO!!!) :( :( How can i restrict the results to ONLY what the channel I am on has posted?? Thanks!

I just did some digging and yes there is an easy way to do this! 1. Go to the user page you want to search on. 2. Add "/videos" to the end of the URL. 3. For example here is our Vimeo channel - vimeo.com/capturevideoandmarketing/videos 4. You'll then see a small search icon above all the videos. Type your keyword in there! This seems to bring up Vimeo's old UI and branding. So I'm not sure this method will work forever. Thanks for watching!

@@CaptureVM THANK YOU!! How stupid of Vimeo not having this simply available (in an obvious place) on their site & we have to find weird workarounds this!! If I was to post videos of my company's products on Vimeo, I would sure EXPECT them to produce results ONLY from my channel if a potential customer was trying to find a product that WE sell (and not produce results of our COMPETITORS when a customer is obviously browsing OUR channel to begin with!).
