Like you said, It would have been nice for them to add a usb c port somewhere either on battery or directly on clipper so you aren't out of luck if the charger fails.

Eddie you did all that but didn't put lithium grease on the cam follower. Thats all you got to do to keep these fx clippers quiet... lol nice review though. That battery life is phenomenal i can't wait to get my hands on one

Yeah, I guess I could’ve done that, but they were very quiet to begin with, and they stayed that way, and in fact, that blade stopped making that noise

i like the lo pro style of clipper, any reason you went with this one over the grey fx lo pro? great review, agree on the usbc because sometimes you can forget to charge a battery fully

Might wait for the 2.0 version better. Like any new product it will always have problems. Let's see how they improve these cause they really are underwhelming with lack of features for the money.

I'm actually not a fan of babyliss's clippers & trimmers. Its seems like you have to baby em' & treat em' just right for them to perform good. They're janky. I have the Lo pro combo, straight garbage. I have the babyliss boosted combo which were supposed to be great, trimmers hit for a second but still no match for flex or saber trimmers. I actually loved the boosted clipper but just recently they started leaving inconsistent little hairs even after cleaning em' with andis blade care & also oiling em, they still act up. I don't think babyliss clippers & trimmers are good on all hair types either so now all of my babyliss clippers & trimmers are going to my home shop where my tools go to die cuz I rarely cut hair out my house anymore. Sad cuz I really wanted to get on the babyliss train. I tried really hard to but they just ain't it. On a positive note, they have the best shavers so I still use them daily.

I’m not a barber and I have long hair. I started growing my beard and bought a Phillips Norelco mutligroom 9000 and it works Ok for putting lines in but it’s not great. I’m looking for a something that cuts great lines and is comfortable. Also, I’m looking for a single foil blade soap bar style shaver for my neck and cheeks. Any recommendations on a good performing product would be appreciated. I was thinking of the SC rebel or the BabyLiss UV. I don’t need “Pro grade” but I want something that will last and that’s not made of cheap materials. I don’t shave that much to buy a a Braun Series-9 or I would. Plus the single foil could allow me to get under my neck, I’m just not sure how close it gets. It doesn’t have to be perfect baby smooth shave.

You’re a little to bias and when you’re doing reviews you have to be objective. You almost make it seem like no other company can make a good clipper but Stylecraft/Gamma. You’ve had bad comments to say about every clipper dropped by other companies.You had problems with the jrl onyx. Love the content just have to be a little more objective.

I see Babyliss like the Apple company for barbers. They USUALLY get louder within a few uses even oil up and cleaned. Many users see the issues but stay loyal. Meanwhile SC and gamma hear and show the changes to their clients. Usually babyliss you have to change the blade to make it a hitter, not heat...... unlike SC and Gamma put a type C port, badass blade and zero gapped. Not loud clippers, no start delay 4 hr run time.

​@KZbinBarberAcademy not sure the exact date, but I remember when the Fapor blade was releasing I had watched a Cuts By Reggie video that was about a year prior, and the regular jrl fade blade had the exact same design as the Faper blade. I'm pretty sure he was doing a blade type breakdown. If I find it, I'll link you. I went and bought it in gold, since SC stopped sending the Instinct with the Gold Faper right when I decided to get them. Meanwhile, after using the black Faper, the gold Faper was the main reason I bought em.

⁠@@KZbinBarberAcademy JRL’s Fade blade which was released when the 2020c was released. Which was before the faper blade was released. They are the same shape. JRL’s fade blade also has the oil reservoirs. So they did it 1st.

It’s most likely his power supply that doesn’t work or cable. The chance of it being the charging unit is slim.

After considerable thinking anyone should purchase anything over these new babyliss FX Ones. Once the battery is drained you’re going to end up pulling out your old faithfuls. You can’t even use the clipper after its dead until the battery has juice you’ll be losing more than you’re gaining. A charging stand for the battery? Whats the point of charging mats and magnet chargers. 6 guards no way other companies are pushing better clippers with a full guard set and esthetics for a better price. These clippers are hitters no doubt but unless you’re buying these plus additional batteries and having clutter gutted clippers on your station, these are a major pass.
