I still don't get why in this day of age, there's still no consequence for people who falsely call off swatting. There needs to be a punishment for it, even if it means whoever makes the call goes to jail for it. I'm getting sick of hearing swatting when this can be easily fixed. There is a consequence. Many of them have gone to jail for not insignificant amounts of time. The problem is finding them. Most use free disposable internet number services like Text Now and they gather 0 information. So even if they want to help they can't because they have no info on who used their service.

Swatting is illegal and people do get punished for it, even people who tell someone else to do it for them, they get prosecuted as well. The issue is it is easy to mask your identity with VPNs and using Starbucks wifi. There has been a huge increase in training and taking swatting very seriously ever since Tyler Bariss (the serial swatter) who kickstarted the whole trend.

Persecution for the possession of previous partners nudes is wild if said nudes where sent consensually. When you send someone nudes consensually you essentially give them ownership of said photos. It like a gift that can’t be sold or sent to anyone else because of the protection of sexting laws. The only way I see it working is if you sent the nudes on specific conditions. Then legally speaking you can revoke the consent you gave them if conditions are broken.

The problem with legislation is that they rarely cross international boundaries. According to Wikipedia. Pokimane lives in Los Angeles....Apparently she is Moroccan-Canadian.....Not sure if she ever lived in Canada......................I don't know if this legislation would be state level (California) or full American federal level.......... American legislation does not apply to 7.7 billion people (people who live outside the USA), I am in Canada. If you have legislation in the state level, Each state would have slightly different legislation. What if someone who is from let's say Portugal but working in France trolls Pokimane. Which laws would apply? Portuguese? French? American? etc...who would have jurisdiction? What if the country the troll is at does not consider it a crime? Also, there are a lot of people who can't handle legitimate criticism and will accuse people of trolling.
