Big issue is that KZbin and Twitch only exist because massive companies are backing them. In reality, both KZbin and Twitch make barely any profit for their upkeep. The giant corporations backing them (Google and Amazon) can afford to fill in any losses in profit and mostly keep the platforms around due to their high viewership traffic. It’s nearly impossible for small companies to make a video-sharing social media website without eventually going bankrupt, which is what’s happened to practically every KZbin and Twitch competitor that didn’t have a major corporation behind it. Both Mixer and FaceBook gaming are funded by major corporations, which is why they’re able to compete in the first place. Unless more big companies step in, there won’t be any competitors for awhile.
