Hi Molly. The electric scooters are banned in the UK! I was the same - I had a go on them in Austria and loved it. Over here you can only ride them on private land.

@@emilia3310 It's a powered transporter. It needs to be adjusted to comply with the law and needs to be taxed and licensed. Even then you can only ride them on the road (and I wouldn't want to ride a scooter on the road much). www.gov.uk/government/publications/powered-transporters/information-sheet-guidance-on-powered-transporters

KatyandJoemac don’t know if they’re actually banned. I live in Aberdeen an there is a fair few of them about as well as one of my friends has one. Don’t know if this is just because people don’t care or if they aren’t banned 🤷🏽‍♀️

I live in Germany and to be honest, I would prefer if they were banned aswell. They are quite dangerous since they're pretty fast and when you're driving it's easy to overlook them. Besides the whole thing about them being better for the environment doesn't really work out neither because they aren't a good substitute for cars and sometimes only last for 1-3 months :( In my opinion they should rather work on improving the infrastructure for electrocars

Hey Molly, I really like your videos but I think it is quite rude to zoom in on strangers' faces when they're staring at the camera because they probably haven't given consent to be in the video, or even been aware that they were being filmed. So I think it would be better to just blur their faces in the future if you're going to zoom in on them x

Oh yes. Get electric scooters legalised here. So people can use them on the roads with no road savvy. Great idea. Im sure you know that a famous KZbinr died in a electric scooter collision with a lorry on a rd in London a few months ago. What a sad loss. That's why electric scooters are not allowed in the UK. Yes sure people will argue yes well Only use them on private land. It doesn't stop there. They should be illegal to even own in this country. Yes it's great to fly around in a perfect world on one of those things. The reality is accidental death and loss. The world is a dangerous place anyway. These things make it MORE dangerous. No argument. Ban them all in all countries. How can you condone someone who can't drive and has NO road sense AT ALL. To give them a chance to get on something motorised which can go up to 30mph in most cases and take them on roads with other traffic. Surely that's a no brainer.

In Germany it is Really bad. They leave them everywhere on the side walk or throw them in Lakes. Besides that, they do not use them in the prescribed Way and Drive on the side walk, what is Not allowed. I do not like them at all
