I know exactly what you’re talking about which reminds me, I panicked one time when the Sound Transit Light rail in Seattle was heading South approaching Holgate street and this man who is “slow” or definitely has a mental handicapped decided to open the gates to cross the tracks even when the crossing bells were ringing super loud but this dude was off in his lala land which is in another universe, and this train was hauling ass and then started blowing its horn while hitting the emergency air breaks and without hesitation I opened the gate on my side and ran full force at him and shoved him backwards where he fell on his back on the other side of the gate which there is a bike trail that runs parallel to the tracks and I tripped on the track but was lucky enough and had enough momentum to fall on the 3’ high fence and did an aukward flip and landed sitting down on the bike trail. All in a matter of 1.5 seconds. The train had just started to pass as I landed on the ground and the last car made it about 20’ passes us where the train came to an emergency stop. It was like the movies. And before I could realize I just saved dudes life, he was already walking the other direction like nothing happened to him.no thank you or anything. Just back to lala land. Other people saw it too but no one really acknowledged it but you Kathy Goldade and maybe a couple other people I know, have heard that story. But I consider myself A good person because of it.

It's not every local, but From Blue Diamond, to Henderson, to North Las Vegas and in between I have met some really good folk. I moved to Vegas when I was younger and coming from an island I really didn't like it, but that changed and it wasn't the casinos or the stereotypes it's known for. The old school Nevadans as well as everyone else surprised me with how authentic they were, Y'all have bigger hearts than you realize. Being raised in another culture that values politeness I experienced a lot of gratitude from every spectrum of age and wealth. I was there for 7 years, I never wanted to go but as deserts sayings go there are always diamonds in the rough. Despite the tragedy that is mead, I spent many night there with my mother looking at the full moon many times and had some of my best moments with her on that lake. Sadly she took her life in 19' and though she was a sailor on the ocean before she had me, she had a fondness even for this man-made lake and admiration just as she did the high seas she once sailed. Despite the darkness that can overcome the city, the people gave me faith then as they do now keep being good out there ya'll, help people in need and make Northern NV see us as equals :D . Everyone head on over to @sincityoutdoors . They are genuine people and they sell some fools gold as a trinket, it would help their channel out if you gave em the youtube sub, like and comment, and if you can afford it buy some merch.
