Ken, what you’re talking about is called decision fatigue in psychology. It’s when we lose control and get exhausted after a ton of decisions. That’s why psychologists suggest to take more time at home to decide what you’re going to buy at the store. I usually, find the exact product I want from the store and put that on my list as well as the aisle number so that I can just get in and get out. If I’m tired, I go with somebody else so that can encourage me to move past the things that I don’t need.
@baswijkstra13 Жыл бұрын
They use a lot of strategies in marketing. Like gross merchandising, putting complimentary foods next to eachother so you’ll be more likely to buy more than you need. Eye level is buy level, expensive brands at eye level so you’ll be quick to reach for the more expensive alternative when you’re tired. They also put slow music on to get you tired same for lighting strategies. And of course reward cards to get you to come back. Theres so much more involved in the background and most people don’t even realise it. Kinda scary if you think about it.

I'm curious to know what kind of fruit and what kind of cake. Feel like that might've affected the results a bit. I know I wouldn't go for a cake that was piled with buttercream, but there are definitely a few popular fruits that I hate too.

I for a magic bullet as a gift and it lasted for years; I think I donated the base and remaining cups when we moved 15 years later.
