I MISSED NUMBER 32. Cerulean Seed +1 (+30% flask heal). +12 flask heals a 38 mind character from 0 to max. You'll only benefit off using it at around 45-50 mind so it's pretty niche. Also now that I'm looking at it. Relanna's Cameo and bow talismans should be higher. It's hard to rank these as they all have a use

Well at least there are Some Talismans that are very good and surely will come handy at RL1, like the Crismson Medallion + 3 which gives you 200 HP. You might think is low but when you have 400 HP is night and day and makes significantly harder to get one-shotted, on the base Game at the very least.

The thing about the blessed blue talisman is that it is perfect for exploring/dungeons. Being able to always apply bestial vitality and use my weapon AOW without sacrificing any healing flasks is perfect. Must run talisman for exploring imo

@@jajasking9652 its more of for the QOL, its nice to not have to think about mana management when exploring. Plus when you use things like Radahns Rain which is like 30+ FP, that would require killing at least 10 enemies to get that back. Sacrificial axe is very valid but just not my preferred option, plus you can always unequip the talisman when your FP regenerates and put on whatever you want until you need it again.

You two are spot on. I equip talisman while general exploring and swap to the sacrificial axe as well in off hand when I am not using incantations to build back up even more fp. Feels nice to not need to keep an eye on FP consumption too much.

Blessed Blue Talisman isn't very good for bosses but it's very good for general exploration, you essentially have infinite FP while exploring and can constantly cast HP regen spells.

Agreed 100%. Combine it with Bestial Vitality and going through Legacy Dungeons is much more forgiving when it comes to your flask use. As long as you don't actually die, you should be able to go through most if not all of it without having to rest, which is super nice.

Full FP any time you have to do something like make a cup of coffee or sign for a package. Just make sure you're in a safe spot! I also use it with Warming Stones when I'm getting low on Flasks in a long area.

Something you missed, the Shattered Stone Talisman actually boosts any attack that looks like a kick, not just skills. And given the martial arts jumping heavy attack is two kicks, you can add it to a jump attack build for some pretty nutty results.

Tip for blade of mercy: a two-handed colossal hammer with cragblade and deflect tear can deal 60+ stance damage on guard counters following successful deflects, which means you can stance break bosses with 120 stance with just two guard counters. This includes the DLC final boss. Lets you keep blade of mercy buff for basically entirety of the fight.

Even better, it will boost your damage after the first hit of the critical attack if you are using a colossal weapons (not sure if colossal sword is included). This means your second hit will get a 20% damage boost. So, you basically get a free Dagger Talisman. Obviously a bug tho.

Also found out that Bloodfiend's Arm and Devonia's Hammer seem to both have hidden 10% stance damage boost for guard counters, even without any buffs active. Giant-Crusher and Prelate's Inferno Hammer deal 45 stance damage on two-handed guard counter, while Bloodfiend and Devonia deal 49.5. I used a tool on PC to check the precise stance damage.

The FP regen talisman is great for health regen. Use blessing of the erdtree for 18 hp/second and you get the FP back before the spell runs out. You can also you heal spells and make your red flasks last so much longer.

For the first talisman, the Ailment Talisman, you can actually remove the talisman after proccing the effect and it'll stay even with it unequipped. Also the duration is different for each status, poison/scarlet rot being the longest i think 1-2 minutes, then bleed/frostbite being slightly less than 1 minute, and sleep/madness being 30 seconds. You can also equip it while you are poisoned, get the effect, then instantly unequip it to get all the benefit, and maybe even swap to another resistance talisman and have a possible 500+ resistance to 1 status.

You already rated it very highly, but I think the Crimson Seed +1 is just so good it could contend for the top spot. The important metric for survivability is how many hits you can take before dying, and the Crimson Seed makes a big difference when you're trying to squeeze in a heal during a boss fight. The bonus healing is significant enough to push you over breakpoints to survive one more hit or use one fewer flask to survive the same number of hits in a lot of scenarios, especially when combined with damage reduction Talismans like the staple Dragoncrest Greatshield. Only needing to chug one flask vs 2 can be the difference between getting to heal safely vs getting caught in the loop of healing and immediately getting hit in the long recovery time, and while it isn't useful for the god gamers who never get hit, it's a godsend for the rest of us mere mortals.

I know the smithscript stuff isnt mindblowing damage, but the smitscript daggers actually do really well on sacred or flame art infusions as they have the same quirk as the erdsteel dagger where their phys damage will also scale off of faith, combine that with scattershot and the 2 multi hit talismans and you can get some good consistent damage at a safe range.

Smithing talisman too for 10% extra damage on throwing attacks (literally all of them so it's just a flat boost). You can also pair with the claw talisman and use only jumping attacks for another 15% on top of that, or shard of Alex for scattershot spam. Godskin Swaddling Cloth is great for sustain too. I think they're quite underrated tbh. Go great on arcane builds too for ranged status buildup

FP regen talisman is very underrated. It is the single most useful talisman in legacy dungeons/ optional dungeons since you can basically have infinite source of heal if you have some faith investment. Let's be real, most people entering dlc going to have 25 faith for the most op buff in the game Golden Vow, and 25 faith + heal from a far net you 600~ hp for 45 fp cost. It means you basically heal back 600 hp every 90 seconds. It is far more efficient than the useless hp regen talisman which takes 300 seconds for the same amount of hp regain. Be it you're caster or not this it's one of the most useful talisman in any legacy dungeon. In fact it benefit none caster / low mind characters even more.

you can chain cast Blessing’s Boon with it and have constant regen going for you and your friends. The incantation costs 30 fp and lasts 90 seconds, you only need 60 seconds to regen the FP back. GOATed exploration talisman

After a quick look at the wiki, according to comments you can proc Dried Bouquet multiple times with skeletal spirit summons. They will give you the damage boost when they fall rather than when they are fully finished off. Skeletal militiamen are already a sleeper good summon for their ability to give you guaranteed points of respite throughout an entire fight (rather than just at the start), so this talisman probably could be ranked even higher.

The rats are another good pick. You get a lot of them, they're individually surprisingly tanky, so they're likely to die over the course of a fight, and most importantly, they don't cost any FP, so they are super easy to fit into any other buff cycles, and have no impact on your FP requirements, flasks, ect. Also, they have a bug that works in their favor in this case. They, along with the Putrid Corpses and Squirts, don't spawn next to you, they spawn at the summon post for some reason. The rats are even more likely to last throughout a fight, because they usually tend to not just all immediately rush the boss, they trickle in one or two at a time, unless the fight goes directly there.

4 of a kind dragoncrest talismans (phys, fire, lightning, perl) almost trivialized the Bayle fight

it definitely does not trilivise the Bayle fight. Even with 80% dmg mitigation and 60 vigour he can still 3 shot you. What trilivises Bayle is the NPC summon (which unlike othher summons, does NOT increase Bayles hp) and a mimic with something good to hold aggro. That way you are never targeted and are free to hit the bosses legs.

Something to mention about the blade of mercy is that it can actually trigger within the critical animation and increase the damage of the crit itself. Many of the critical animations have two hits, the first doing lower damage and the second doing the brunt of the damage. The talisman triggers on the first hit, meaning the main hit of the riposte will have increased damage.

i found the Talisman of Lord's Bestowal useful for when I was first learning the fights, the poise buff lasts for a long enough that it helps with squishy caster builds.

I haven't tried the combo together myself yet but st trina's smile might be better than initially thought here if combined with lulling branches, a craftable item that recharges FP and inflicts sleep buildup on you. With my build it takes 2 to inflict sleep but I have like 40 mind; a more regular build might be able to proc it in one lulling branch. It may not be as quick to self-proc as madness but at least solves the issue of needing to proc it on enemies to benefit, and has the added bonus of regening your FP quite quickly, which I'm sure will be great for spamming spells or AoW with this setup!

The running attack talisman can be kinda cool with heavy thrusting sword running R2s. Leda's chestplate also buffs those along with dodge attacks and backstep attacks.

in terms if usefulness is have to say that #1 is crimson seed +1 and 2 handed… i have found myself constantly swapping talismans out not knowing what really is ideal for my build but the new hp flask boost is always a must

I find the Arrow Soaring Sting Talisman very funny because it's required to make the Throwing knives anywhere close to good. Combining it with Arrow Sting, Smith Talisman, and Shard of Alexander sees the knives actually do reasonable damage with the Weapon art at point blank. They're garbage most of the time. On my Dex Faith Build sitting at 22 str/60 dex/11 int/27 fai they hit around 221-250 on light attacks, but anywhere from 800-1400 on the scattershot throw weapon art (varies depending on what damage boxes the knives connect with) at point blank range. Allegedly the Arrow Sting and Soaring Sting work on the Ash of War, but I will need to do more testing. If they don't work on Scattershot (if anyone else can confirm) then it'll free up a couple talisman slots lol. Can also confirm that the Smith Talisman does NOT include the thrown Lightning projectile on the Bolt of Gransax.

I'm assuming it'll work, given that the range and damage buffs from arrow stings apply to the throwing knives. the charm that boosts running attacks might actually be very good for certain builds. i’m using the godskin peeler and the running attack hits like 5 times making it deal a lot of bleed and activate the multi hit talismans very fast so another +15% damage is pretty good

Giant Rats ashes I could see working with the Dried Bouquet amazingly. also the Sol-jars of Fortune because their whole putpose is dying, and if it stacks with the buff from Stormhawk Deenh that’s an insane burst of damage

Quirk with Blade of Mercy: The Talisman gives you the AR boost after the final hit of a weapon's usual critical hit, but if a weapon has a special aux effect (e.g. Bloodfiend's Arm), then the talisman will count to two hits, and it will count the mogblood aux effect as a critical hit. This means that the second hit of a stance break riposte with this talisman could be boosted by the effect without it already ticking.
