Its missing a lot of voices. Weird because the 32X has them.

The fact that this game has to pause and load ordinary special moves completely ruins it for me. Inexcusable.

I suppose so, but I definitely didn't see that issue with any street fighter games or other fighters from that year on the system. Shame, but mortal kombat games are not the reason anyone bought a saturn anyway so its no biggie. Zero 2, Zero 3, and KOF 96 all day.

"Inexcusable"? Bruh, this game came out in 1993. Almost 30 years ago. CD tech was like a brand new thing, man.

@@skullface2694 1988, yeah. TurboGrafx I think was the first that used CD-Rs for games, but they were primitive, simple. So for things like this they were still trying to figure out what they could and couldn't do. That and the Saturn didn't have a whole lot of processing power, iirc

MK2: bustass edition. I remember being so excited for this version and had to get it on eBay cause Saturn was on it's way out. It was even a bad version back in the late 90s

The best versions of the Mortal Kombat games that I highly recommend are: 1. Mortal Kombat 1 (Sega CD/MS-DOS). 2. Mortal Kombat 2 (Sega 32X/Sega Saturn/PS1/DOS/Super Nintendo). 3. Mortal Kombat Trilogy (MS-DOS/Windows/PS1/N64/Sega Saturn). 4. Mortal Kombat Gold (Sega Dreamcast). 5. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (GameCube/PS2/Xbox). 6. Mortal Kombat: Unchained (PSP). 7. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (Xbox/PS2/Wii). 8. Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360/PS3). 9. Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition (Windows/Xbox 360/PS3/Steam PC). 10. Mortal Kombat XL (PS4/Xbox One/Steam PC). And 11. Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate Edition (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X/Xbox Series S/Nintendo Switch/Steam PC).

It wasn't mentioned in any magazines at the time. I remember seeing it for the first time back in the day at Blockbuster. I looked at the back art and it looked just like the arcade. Really wished I had a Saturn at the time.

Best MK2 was the 32X version Saturn was 2nd
@segagamer86236 жыл бұрын
Additional note 32X version was arcade perfect had all content from arcade all voice samples which some were missing in Saturn version and zero load times due to cartridge and genesis 6 button.
This is the MK2 hierarchy from what I understand. 1) MK2 - 32X 2) Super Nintendo MK2 3) Sega Saturn MK2 I was going to get this port 2 years ago when I started Saturn collecting. I found out Sega rushed the Saturn version and fixed their bugs in MK2 with MK3 Ultimate on the Saturn. I will never ever own this version of the game on the Sega Saturn.
