Game was banned here (Germany) at the time of release and my friend and I 'found' some dude selling it on a flea market, super over priced, of course we bought it immediately and rode back home with our bikes as fast as we humanly could to smash it in the snes and go ham, happily we also had a magazine which published all finishing moves, the magazine was also later banned because of this, or as rumor has it simply rebranded. Man good times, we were so young seeing these fatalities and all haha. Pretty mediocre fighting game we thought as we were all about street fighter 2 but man it's the fatalities and the presentation and all isn't it?! So nostalgic, thanks for this video!

I can still remember the day my dad took me to buy this game from Sears 😊 perusing the instruction booklet on the way home 🥰 Spending the whole night playing MK II and my dad ordered pizza. A perfect day!

I remember wanting this for my SNES back in the day. Stayed the night at a friend's house, he had MKII. I played it until the wee hours of the morning, and then I didn't want it anymore.

Man, I stil remember how amazing the jump from MK to MKII in terms of pretty much everything: visuals, sound, the characters, way more moves, it played faster... Damn. I played UMK3 way more, but MKII was something special. And FFVII absolutely is over-rated. It starts off fantastic, but after Midgar, it slopes downward to a solid "good" JRPG.

I agree that FF7 is absolutely overrated and it's overrated for the fact that Max brought up in a collab podcast he did with Easy Allies: it sucked in an audience that normally didn't play JRPGs.

I miss that. When sequels were allowed to happen. One amazing leap to another. Now with drip fed Season Passes and DLC packs, everything just stagnates around one game for far longer than it should. FF7 is overrated because it was the first JRPG to many. The pacing and level of quality were far from consistent, however. My personal favourite of the PSOne era - FF9 - is ironically underrated, for just how good it is.

Completely agree about Breath of the Wild's combat. I feel the system would have been so much better if we were not only given the option to repair weapons but also to upgrade weapons as well.

I’m hoping if the sequel does have the same durability mechanic for weapons that this time we’ll actually be able to repair or maybe upgrade them like you suggested. That’s one of the only things I really didn’t like about BOTW. Btw has that gotten an official release date yet? I feel like we haven’t heard anything about it since we got that last trailer which was quite awhile ago. I thought it would be a holiday 2022 release originally but now it looks like it might not come out till sometime next year

Same!!! Shaolin monks was awesome but for whatever reason they haven’t done any MK spin-offs since. I wish they would branch out a little more and try new things. The MK universe makes for amazing action games if done right

Man, Breath of the Wild is such a weird game. It’s a Zelda game but has nothing that’s made the Zelda series great. No real music or dungeons or puzzles or even interesting weapons. It’s a weird open world game with the Zelda brand in name only. Still don’t know why it’s loved so much. The gameplay isn’t even that deep.

To me breath of the wild was extremely overrated It literally felt like skyrim but with breakable weapons the cool stuff that you're able to do in the game looks like use the physics engine to kill people And beat the game early It's a fine game for how it is but it literally just doesn't feel like Zelda And you know that's kind of the funny thing that I'll compare Zelda Compared to Dead Rising You've never actually needed to be worried about your weapons breaking because you could make them easy on 2 and 3 Even with the 1st Dead Rising after you kill the boss Adam you can get the best weapon in the game and hes kind of an easy boss fight All you really need is to just get 3 books that give it almost unlimited endurability Is even then it's not hard to get the saw to me but also I'm the big fan of Zelda Ocarina of time windwaker And Twilight princess And I'm not agreeing just because you guys are famous like how most people usually think It's my honest opinion about the game

It is sad that the most successful Zelda title for years feels the least like a Zelda game. Majora's Mask has been my favourite in the series since it came out. That hasn't changed in all these years.

I think as its own game it would have been interesting but personally as a Zelda game it's just kinda weird but that's also me being an old Zelda fan
