These Chinese writers and directors know exactly how to play with the viewers emotions even to the point of insulting their intelligence. As for me it doesnt matter and that is why I am a Chinese idol drama addict. The lead female which is almost always the centerpiece in these school dramas is believable and adorable which seems to be the most important requirement in a successful series.
