I can relate to Xiaoju in this movie. Being the first child in the family is really hard, you have to live with a lot of responsibilities and in a pressure of being an example to your little sisters. I really like the small plots/lessons in the drama so far. Here they closed the story hopefully on Xiao Ju's relationship with her mother. She was always neglected by her mom for her little brother. She started to miss her family and home. So did her mother too. Her mother read her diary about Xiao Ju's feelings. She went to visit her on her birthday. She will now show her more care and love for her. Nice to see Xiao Ju's mother change for the good. Good to see them forgive each other and love one another. The actress playing Xiao Ju is great. When she felt alone thinking of her family or alone for her birthday, it was convincing to me. It felt you can connect to her at those moments.

I am crying at this mother and daughter scene. It's so touching. She thought her mom forgot her birthday. She brought eggs etc., Poor Xiaju, she grew up so jealous of her brother. Didn't see where she pushed him. I must have fallen off to sleep. Her friends love her dearly but Cheng loves her as a good friend while Shiyi loves her for a girlfriend. Yes, it did look cute when he took hold of her pants straps. He is so romantic in his own little way. All the little gestures and teasing is a part of love. He also felt bad when Cheng gave her a big present and all he had was (according to him) an ugly hair clip. lol. Such a nice drama. YoYo is the best. I want to watch every show they put out.
