This was my first unresponsive yoyo I ever bought, at probably age 11-12 in 2006. I had a turbo bumblebee before this (still have it). I haven't thrown in years l, but if I had to only keep one yoyo, it'd be that translucent blue hitman. Way back when I made spacers and siliconed the grooves. I also got a translucent blue mini motu and xconvict to continue the collection. I had a black dark magic, but traded it. Too bad yoyojam went out of business... I prefer the hitman without caps, it's light and really zips around. Awesome yoyo. You hit the nail on the head, it's not forgiving like newer yoyos. The high walls really need you to watch your string lines.

I love the YYJ red with aluminum rings like on this and the Dark Magic and I’d like to see an all aluminum reissue. As they are they see very fragile. Shims and spacers are things that turn me off but I do understand this was a new technology for its time.

YES! I also love the red/rings combo. Maybe iYoyo will do one as part of their X series at some point. We can only hope... And I completely understand that the whole spacer/shims thing isn't for everyone. I don't want to mess with it for every yoyo for sure, but for a select few, sure.

Hitman was my EDC for ever... then i had a15 year semi break from throwing, but i still had my Hitman really available for the whole time. Took it on my Honeymoon, European adventure, and cross country. Great review!

What's the closest thing out to a Hitman nowadays? Shame YYF or another brand didn't buy the patents for the models before YYJ went under.
