For Yoyoka fans who don't know this pianist, Ai Furusato is a 12-year-old living in Machida, Tokyo. She was born in 2011 to parents who run a jazz bar. In February of this year, She was accepted into Berklee College as the youngest student ever. She will soon be moving to the US. Incidentally, the world-famous violinist Akiko Suwanai is also from Machida. I'm also from Machida, and when I was the age of AI and Yoyoka, I was fighting with a Shiba Inu.

I came in with no expectations. But it was really nice to see such a collaboration. Showing off your skill is one thing. But working together with someone else like this takes things to another level. Because it's not just skill but syncing and being in a flow state with someone else. At that point you become part of something larger, something that transcends the normal ideas of Self. Fun fact: Science has shown that when people get into a shared flow state like this their brain waves even start to sync.

@@gillesrenaud6926 She had a regular music class in elementary school, in Japan, but she was already way too advanced for it to do her much in the way of learning which led her parents to move the family to the United States. After settling in Oakland, she attended an Arts School for about a year, in 7th grade, before they relocated to Los Angeles where I believe she may have attended either a regular middle school or another one focused on The Arts. She'll be attending a regular high school for her freshman year, somewhere in L.A. for the upcoming year.
