For some reason, Mallomars have become rare in a lot of the US. I know they're seasonal, but I can't even find them in the middle of winter. Nabisco also makes a similar cookie called Pinwheels. Same concept, only with a dense, fudgy cookie base and a pinwheel shape. Great video, Tammy. For some reason marshmallows and chocolate are meant for each other.

This is actually a traditional Danish confectionary item called flødeboller dating back to the early 1800s, although I believe they were popularised throughout the world by the UK company Tunnock's who started making them in the 1890's and called them Tea Cakes.

In Australia, we have something very similar to Whippets. They are called Wagon Wheels, and they are a lot bigger than Whippets, like the size of a donut. They are also EXTREMLY sweet!

OMG Your voice is just like Melissa McCarthy the American actress 😮 Any way. I've tried to make something like this but I failed big time with the jam -or the jellies jam dome- and didn't add jam any more. Now you give me a better and easier way to add the jam. Thanks and Keep up the good work 👌🏻

Mallomars are covered in dark chocolate, and are seasonal due to the fact that the chocolate will turn white-ish in the heat of the summer (they don't necessarily taste different, but esthetically aren't the same. That's why they were never available in the warmer year-round areas of the USA. A ridiculously high percentage of Mallomars are sold in the Metro NY area.
