It's a tradition to honor the soldiers who gave their life in the war. It's honestly really impressive that they do it every day on 8 pm.

It is so special that the Belgians don't forget the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands from other countries.It has to be said that these images are from the 11 november not the nightly service. I have been to several nightly ceremonies and one nov 11th. The nightly one is more important to me.. that they remember the fallen every single day is awesome. Yet Sassoon summed up the Menin Arch as " these incredibly nameless names" because like Tyn Cot the human mind cannot take in the immensity of the tragedy.
