Again, the closest thing to romance between a human and Aeldar. Though ironically Marazhai has happier endings with the Rogue Trader than Yrliet does, go figure. Goes to show how evil can prosper while good struggles at best and withers at worst in the 41st/42nd Millenium
@foxdavion68652 ай бұрын
That may be the case, but Marazhai like all Dark Eldar has no soul, when he dies he will cease to exist. The Drukari are soul vampires out of naccessity so their bodies don't die, they are like a bucket with a hole at the bottom, where the liquid is pooring into the maul of Slaanesh, so they need to constantly refill the bucket with the souls of others, or they wither and die. Marazhai is slowly feeding off the Rogue Trader's soul in their relationship, so hell no. As for the whole Gulliman and Yvraine situation, firstly it's fan fiction, second she still has her soul somehow, I think this does get explained. But she isn't a Drukari, not anymore, she is an acolyte of the Eldar god of death, thus a completely separate group to Dark Eldar and Craftworld. The Eldar Deathcult are also more inclined by their outlook and beliefs, to willingly work with the Imperium, so there is that.

The mistake you make is to see Eldars as regular elves. They are not. Those guys are far more advanced both mentally and in terms of technology than humans to the point Eldar needs to REALLY adjust himself or herself to communicate on our level. At the peak of their own Empire Eldars were able to conjure gods and had a level of control over warp (though back then warp was much gentler). And if it was not retconned Eldar do not sweat, and poop crystals. So now imagine from point of view of such being how disgusting a human must be to them - when they look at us and apes they are unable to tell the difference - both ungraceful and hairy. Body hair being not yet evolved out reminder of our ancestry, substances being excreted from our bodies all the time, sweat, stuff from ears, nose, etc. At the end of the day they are facing a disgusting ape that is violent most of the time and acts like animal to them. Another thing - it is said she is outstretching her hand to us at the end. Nothing about holding it. I still think at the end it was too much for her.

I'd say she redeemed herself far beyond what I was expecting, and I was happy that I resisted the urge to kill her and be done with xenos drama. To begin with we would be in Commoragh even without her, she just didn't prevent it and she probably could. Later I personally wouldn't have escaped Commoragh without her at all as she carried the final boss of Act 3 - only her and barely alive Cassia survived out of my entire party. Contacting Alaitoc and telling it to not invade the Koronus Expanse is an extremely big deal and in any scenario where she doesn't do that we can assume that there is a brutal off-screen Alaitoc invasion, probably after the end of the game. Defending the Rogue Trader from Alaitoc spirit attack at the cost of her spirit stone is also a very big deal and it's incredible that she isn't a bitch about it. She is more wholesome later on as well (the video shows a slightly bugged dialogue before the recent patch that fixed it).

The analogy to wild beast is so dumb. Between humans and monkeys there is an immesurable gap in terms of culture, might and intelect. For eldars to have relativelty equal advantage over humans they would have to be practicaly all godlike creatures (full assembled C'tan level of power). And yet these creatures of flesh and bone, who do not posses immesurable technological advantage, who have basicaly all the same concepts of culture/religion/identity, who are not even truly immortal Dare to place humans so low. If this is pure arrogance, then it is just idiotic. How am i supposed to believe that eldar are capable of reaching any great intelectual hights if they can be so Petty? Being petty does not magically make your iq higher. If anything , it is a sign of the very opposite.

So by your logic, humans are god-like beings to monkeys? Wow, now that must also count as inflated arrogancy, just like what the Eldars have now... and you claim you can't understand where they came from with that sentiment. Besides, humanity was indeed a formidable space-faring power by 20th millenium, but ending up self-destructing itself mere 3 milleniums later. From Aeldari's perspective, whose hegemony had lasted millions of year by that point, I'd reckon it might seem laughable. Also, if older generation of human can/may see the younger generation with less appreciation, treating the younger as clueless or ignorant, by citing to their life in the past (their heyday so to speak), regardless of whether they're proven to be right or wrong, then what's so hard about imagining a race whose average members can live even longer, faster and stronger physically, and perceive the world in a seemingly more details than us humans, all the while having much-much longer and many legacies to boast on, to see us with such a fervent inappreciation? Doesn't help that the prejudice was never really rectified to the majority. Thus the view remain unchanged.

In their prime they created literal gods which were slaved to their will, they created devices that can just magic up armies into existence, and they could chose to reincarnate after death with all their memories. No we are not godlike beings compared to monkeys, if you truly believe that then I invite you to step into a room with an angry chimp. @@AorER1613 I mean, it is. 98% of the game she - physically - wants nothing to do with you. Even you suggesting intimacy is disgusting to her and she will be blocked as a romance option if you do it more than once. Even her extending her hand to you isn't necessarily touching you. Eldar still see Humans as basically monkeys, but she has fallen in love with your soul and your person. For someone who is Ace and doesn't actually like when people get involved with me expecting intimacy, a partner option that blatantly *does not want intimacy* but instead just loves being around me or my soul, this is fucking awesome lol.

In all of the Owlcat games you are eventually get a scene where you're made to choose one. It's close to the end of the game so you can try all the endings with quite a lot of extra play. I think it's a bad decision to make it like this especially since we impose our own standard for monogamy.

I really don't understandwhy the thought of an eldar and a human getting together is so ridiculous. I mean one is a short compact eldar while the other one's a elongated human. Yaah I know everybody's fucking racist as shit in 40k but still
@MothsAreEternal4 ай бұрын
They are that way because of psychic features mostly. Mentally we are truly apes for them. Imagine humanlike race you are trying to like, but they have hard times to understand concepts, have almost no imagination and see only half of colors you can see. Oh, yeah, and on the top of that their lifespan would be like...5 years at best. Basically it's too much of a struggle to make them understand you and even if you manage to do so - it literally isn't worth your time, because they will probably die soon after they reach at least fractions of your mental level.

I think as far as lore go writers did a solid job (can't say same about programmers because post third act game becomes a shitshow). It's not Love Can Bloom level of bullshit, she still mostly treat us as less hairy ape.
