Ys VIII was hands down not only one of the greatest RPGs I've ever played, but one of the greatest _video games_ I ever had the pleasure to play. Very excited about Ys X.

Hope this title is similar to 8 and not to 9. 9 had great gameplay, good characters but locations, story and ost were not at the level of 8.

@@ciuffoarancione8929 People that have played have said it's not even close to being as good as 8 and 9. It's also way to easy and they removed all the different playable characters. It seems to have a smaller budget this time around.

You should give Ys Origin and Ys Oath in Felghana a try if you have the ability to do so. They're both fantastic.

Ys games don't miss with it comes to combat and gameplay. Coupled with hype music they're always a rush to play through.

"We recommend playing on hard" -nah just make normal more difficult then if you think that is the difficulty people should play that.

I played 8 and now I am playing 10. Devs definitely have vision. Their writing is not bad given that most of the jrpgs have dog sh*t writing. I wish they had more money.

On the topic of difficulty, I have to say Ys has tuned the difficulty badly on 9. I played on like equivalent of very hard and it was still way too easy. Might want to start this game on very hard. Ys used to be a pretty challenging series but ever since Seven it's been pretty easy. I'm not a super hardcore gamer or anything I just think even casuals would get bored with how easy it was. They even had to patch in a new higher difficulty after release.

Because you can flash guard and move. Ys 9 also has like 6 difficulties. Easy, normal, hard, nightmare, Inferno, and Lunatic. Which did you play on?

@@RaifSeverence I think I might have played hard, Nightmare, it's been awhile. But it's more than that, games based on the Oath of Felghana engine were much faster, and the enemies more dangerous on even lower difficulties.
