I never liked how she was corrupted seemingly so easily but I don't remember the backstory, but that cinematic was beautiful and a real tearjerker. And a gut punch.

It's one of two moments. When Ysera died, and when Ursoc's soul was sacrificed for the grove.

@@Cloud-dq1mr Yeah, it was a bit quick but baring in mind the Tears of Elune was a corrupted titan construct and coupled with Xavius' nightmare magic, I see her corruption as a duel pronged attack; contamination of the titan magic that made her an aspect and corruption of the dream magic she was so closely aligned to. Still, sad to see her go. She was my favourite aspect, and happy to see her return even for a little while.

I've always played as an orc, even on other RPGs. I don't know what it is, but Ysera is one of my Warcraft favourite characters. I cried when she died and I cried when the Winter Queen brought her back. Such a scene

I’m Horde but alliance always seems to have some amazing things that put me in such a good happy mood and I’m glad it does cuz sometimes I’m not happy and get negative n stuff WoW music is like therapy for me lol

For the context, Ysera is one of the draconic guardians (on duty for more than 10 000years) , linked to Nature and wilderness. She's the most peaceful and lovely of the guardian and tries to help us fighting a chaotic entity which threaten Nature. During the quests in the zone, she got hit by this entity, corrumpting her spirit in a way we end up fighting her and have to kill her. Then, this cutscene happens : kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmXPg41poq-Eha8 When i had to do this specific quest once again on my alt char, i asked my GF to to it. It still hurts 5years later (┬┬﹏┬┬)

"Ysera Death Theme" it's called Nightsong, and is as core to the Night Elves as the Song of Elune is. Fun fact: It was almost not put into the game.
