If you watch the trial, you'll notice that when Shannon left, the red car was perfectly fine. A third car then pulled up, and shortly after, the brake lights of the red car started flickering on and off. Not long after that, a fourth car made a sudden U-turn. As the investigator pointed out, the driver of the fourth car appeared to have made the U-turn because they saw something. Here’s the problem: Shannon had already left long before the fourth car arrived. It was the third car-one that wasn't properly investigated-that should have been the focus of attention. woody also testified previously that they run the red light for safety reasons.
