I like the smell, but it's just Y. Not worth it. Tried it on skin at Sephora and longevity wasn't great on me.

Y Elixir is the disappointment of the year so far. The EDT, EDP and the Le Parum are way better

Must admit I was also a Y Elixir hater at first, especially at the price it was selling at. But as the prices came down and I managed to get a bottle around 80$ and I started wearing it regularly my opinion has changed completely, it’s now my favourite designers of this year. I think this one will be one of those sleepers hits like Le Beau Le Parfum and Y Myself.

There's this Reddit post on r/fragrance where they tracked prices for popular colognes and compared their price hikes to inflation. YSL's price hikes were like... triple the rate of inflation. I can't fathom who's buying these disappointing designer releases when the tags just keep getting higher for no measurable return in the juice.

Same, at the beginning, I was bummed about the dropped apple note and it being replaced with lots of woods. But as I continue to wear it, I love it more and more. Performance and longevity is awesome as well.

I love it. It’s my first ysl, besides tuxedo and I’m obsessed. I did enjoy le parfum but never really got my nose on the other flankers. I might have but don’t remember. Nothing stuck out for me tbh. But I picked this up for £71, over £50 off. Worth the 70 price tag. I wouldn’t say I’d pick up another bottle. It’s soapy and clean, that’s all I get. But not bad tbh

About the atomizer... All Y fragrances have this new "cheap feeling" atomizers since they switched to refillable bottles. The bottles are also slightly different.

Idk, MYSLF(refillable) has an amazing atomizer with great output but Elixir's atomizer has literally half the output.

I will not by the Elixir for the price they are asking for, as I really like the Le Parfum & the Intense versions. That being said, it is really impressive how YSL constantly releases total bangers on every line.

I’ve had it since it came out. Burberry Hero Parfum and Prada Ocean Parfum Blow this away. I actually sell Fragrance and we have only sold a few and it’s usually when a GF is buying it for her BF. Oh yeah Eros Parfum 🔥

That's interesting. I was worried at first because the atomizer has such poor output but I still smell it on myself for a very long time with just two sprays. I have every frag in the Y line and the only other one that does that for me is Y EDP.

I'm with you on the disappointment and the price. It is a different play on the dna. Most may not like the play. Lol, but it still smells like a Y. Y is my favorite line. I have the whole line as well. I agree, I wanted something more than what we got. I agree it's fine and we wanted more than fine. As far as the oud, I smell it. It's not as aggressive or funky like most oud. I actually enjoy how it is used. Entry level designer oud. Much respect to your opinion for sure! We all have one. Based purely on smell, it’s my favorite of the line. It’s my daily driver, now. I do get the price dislike, though. I got mine off eBay for about 120, and I probably would have probably waited to buy a full bottle if the only option was retail.

The “elixir” label on this one isn’t appropriate and neither is the price tag. That being said this is my favorite in the Y line. It’s almost like Parfum and Elixir should be switched. That would be more in line with expectation.

I am into getting my 1st Y line fragrance but I kind a hesitate. I can pick up 60ml Elixir for 60 eur. I don't know, Elixir or EDP? I love fresh fragrances that aren't too sweet. Does new batches of EDP perform well because that's my only concern of not picking it up.

Y EDP is my favorite fragrance hands down but if you aren't into freshies that are pretty sweet you may want to skip Y EDP. It's fresh and smells incredible but it is definitely a sweet smelling fragrance. If you can handle the price tag, Y Elixir has that same freshness with a very toned down sweetness. Same with Y EDP Intense. All 3 last a long time regardless of batch codes. Don't listen to redditers that obsess over batches. Y EDP hasn't undergone any reformulations that have weakened it.(yet)

Real. I would even pay $180 for this in a 3.4oz but $180 for 2oz is just laughable for what this is. I got it on Jomashop for $136 and while that's more than I like to pay for 2oz I am really digging it. I own every frag in the Y line and I'd go as far as to say it's my favorite right behind Y EDP.

The worst part is that this is so versatile it could be worn all seasons 365 days of the year and would be perfect for a signature scent. Should have just been labeled Y EDT Intense or just call it Elixir and price it the same as the EDP. They produced a great smelling fragrance but executed it terribly.
