@@iffysd9864 I was thinking about how Malik probably put a lot of work into talking Wilder into letting him be his trainer. He wanted the money especially since no one else would give him a chance. Remember he said that? No one believed in Malik as a trainer so he probably begged wilder into giving him the chance. Annoying as hell when you think about it.

In Mailk Scott’s defence, Wilder was always a one armed fighter… it was only a matter of time before he lost and would have been too late for Wilder to make any adjustment
@leonardcharles59
@leonardcharles59 2 күн бұрын
@@selormamuzu9860 but then why did he boast so much about how he he had turned Wilder into some great boxer, like he was the next Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard? How was that ever going to be possible with a fighter like Wilder? If you apply the comment to Wilders performance since Scott's taken over, it is clearly obvious. Really, all Scott has done is make Wilder more vulnerable because he is unused to doing what Scott has tried to teach him and that's why he's even more afraid to throw punches now. All that Scott needed to teach a boxer like Wilder was a basic, stiff jab and to improve his balance so that hed learn how to move a few steps left or right and avoid being hit with counters . He could also teach Wilder to keep his hands up and use them to block punches and just go over these basics constantly to see if he can remember to do them, then gradually build on them. But, what he's actually turned Wilder into is a totally different fighter than he can realistically ever be and all that it's done is get him hit and hurt even more and kod. I mean, everyone can see it and even a lot of his biggest fans have disappeared.
@selormamuzu9860
@selormamuzu9860 2 күн бұрын
@@leonardcharles59 because Malik was always a yes man for Wilder so he’s gonna Gas him up but even then even with those basics it wouldn’t have done Wilder any good…. You gotta realise Wilder’s team have spent 40 fights matchmaking him with stiffs so that he can only use his right hand.. it was only gonna be difficult after a while…Also bare this mind, Wilder was in the Vlad era, there are ALOT of fighters he couldn’t have beat with his skill set lol
@leonardcharles59
@leonardcharles59 2 күн бұрын
So you think Wilder's really that bad? Man, that really sucks bro. I mean, I can't figure out how to respond to your comment. . I mean, he did stay undefeated for about 40 fights, but maybe those guys had other professions. I never really tried defending Wilder when he was wbc champion, but I honestly just don't want to see him get hurt, and I think he will if he keeps fighting . I don't think he really wants to fight anymore, either. Maybe Scott is only using him because of his name. Have a great day & new year bro!

@@BIGGLO061 but the thing about being cerebral, it tends to confuse someone who isn't or just learns things in another, less cerebral manner. Thats why Scott is a bad fit. But. First prove that youre capable of reaching a fighter, at any level, or the one that he's at, then maybe you will receive accolades for being thoughtful and clever.

Interestingly enough Wilder looked decent in the third Fury fight. He came in a little heavier and then although he wasn't really winning the rounds by outboxing, he was throwing some jabs to the body even an occasional right hand to the body and then he scored two heavy knockdowns The second of which it looked like Fury contemplated even getting up. I don't think the other guys in the division get up from those knockdowns. In the fight with Zhang, Wilder In my opinion came in far too light. This guy has to eat food. Sounds like a strange thing to say but you need the fuel. He's got to eat. You can't be 6'7 and come into the fight with a 280 lb guy at 214 lb or whatever it was. David Haye and evander holyfield can get away with that because they were former cruiserweights who were 6'3 and 6'2 respectively. They can come in light like that and use it to an advantage. But Wilder with a 6'7 height should be coming in 225 or 235 even.

Some of you are gonna be real confused when he switches trajners and it’s the same result. The problem isn’t Malik, simple adjustments he tells him in the corner to just feint and throw the right and wilder can’t do it

Malik a good trainer. He’s currently trainer a world champion. And these past couple of Wilder fights Malik been giving him great advice in the corner. It’s up to Wilder to bring it. Nobody can train the guy. He hates to run. He don’t spar. Clearly not training legs. He’s stubborn. What can u do wit tht?? The dog the hunger the fight the will the desire is all gone. He’s an old frail neutered boxer tht needs to retire before it gets even uglier. And it will.

Exactly, he doesn't listen to his trainers. Wilder has been boxing for 20 years and still fights like a untrained person off the street. It shows he doesn't listen

Wilder is exactly is the heavy wt version of his first trainer mark breland. Good power in his right hand. Long but no jab. No left hook. Good power can be to your detriment. You won't work on the little things that make you complete as a fighter because you think you can put everybody's head out. 🥊

Wilder not a real heavyweight he a cruiserweight Frfr he fight at 218-225 and he was knocking true heavyweight out. And Usyk fought Fury after wilder took a piece out of him 4 sure. Father Time is undefeated

@JonGotta-f5u no question but I'm referring to who he is as a fighter and why it won't change for him with any trainer because of the things his former trainer didn't work on when he was on the come up. As far as his chin, that been gone. 🥊

No way you compared Wilder to Mark Breland 😂 Breland in his prime is on another level compared to Wilder in terms of talent, dedication, skills and accomplishments. Breland had Wilder look his best until Wilder let his ego get the best of him and fell in love with his power. If Fury wasn't gonna cook Wilder then Usyk or Dubois would've eventually

@natejohnson5767 Mark had a weak ass Jab just like Wilder. No left hook just like Wilder. all he had was a right hand just like Wilder. No Chin just like Wilder. He got his ass knocked out cold twice once by Marlon starling and Aaron Davis. Not no TKO but out COLD. I'm not only comparing them this is who trained him. Fuk is you talkin bout.🥊

I will never in my life understand the concept of being trained by someone you knocked out in a professional fight. It makes ZERO sense! Wtf does he have to teach you that he never taught himself as a fighter???

After wilder beats Malik, he hires Malik to train him to beat fury, who also busted Malik’s ear drum in sparring. How are you gonna hire someone you beat to help you beat a guy who beat him too 😂

He needs to bring in a certified coach, not just a coach that needs a big pay day...spend millions on a big name coach, and let's get wilder back. Care enough to see him do good without you Scott. 👍🏾

Give Malik a break. Wilder is 40 and set in his ways. You don't re-learn boxing at 40. You guys just want to have someone to blame. Wilder took the L and admitted he made mistakes.
