it was almost as if Yaqoub (AS) saw a wisdom the second time around when his sons asked him and he told his sons to bring back Yusuf (AS). My interpretation here is that the first time around he entrusted Yusuf(AS) and then lost him, but years later when he was faced with the same predicament but with the youngest son, he saw the relationship of events and knew that somehow Yusuf(AS) was tied up in it this time around also. It's very hard to explain, but its like the initial predicament led to the loss of Yusuf(AS), and the repeated predicament provided an opportunity to access Yusuf(AS). As if the predicament itself was (for the lack of a better definition) a portal. Am I seeing a wisdom here? Or do I sound ridiculous. It's like: you will face the same challenges in life until you learn to access them correctly (which is the way Allah (SWT) would want us to access it, by turning to Him, trusting Him and worshiping Him) and only then will you be able to successfully overcome the challenge...the test. Allah is telling us how to overcome challenges. (And of course on top of that the lessons in Yaqoub's(AS) behaviour is a great lesson also, immediatly turning to Allah, and immediatly holding firm to his patience)

I think the reason perhaps was that he Yusaf might not recognize others as they might have grown beyond recognition, as it happens to all of us owing to maturity (age 13-20), whereas if the younger one perhaps still look that same, and hence Yusaf possibly can recognize him. And if all walk in, then they might pass Yusuf, and him not noticing the young-small one. My 2 cents:)

Sorry, there are some flaws here... the reason about entering through multiple doors is so that they do not all get caught in one go.. Jacob may have suspected a trap since they had already been accused of a crime so by going through different doors some would have had a chance to escape of it was a trap... also remember that in the bible it was the Samaratans who rescued and sold Yusuf.. they did it in their own land and not in Egypt (which did not have kings, but ruled over kings)

If that makes sense to you and see it as godly message, than so be it. For me Quran is not just a book, it's a scripture from Allah (swt) that must be taken seriously. I think those who truly believe in Allah (swt) sees a more in depth and meaningful message.

LOVE IT. i was confused also, because when i read it, at the back of my mind, somehow Yaakub r.a already knows something?? somewhere I read, it mention, divine knowledge etc for the explanation. Also, how did Yusuf r.a(when instructed to bring youngest sibling) did not raise question from his older siblings? I mean, why should he knew, he supposedly didn't have any ties with them, and also his siblings didn't suspect Yusuf r.a is still alive. Maybe they knew he is still alive, but didn't suspect he is the king's right hand or have power?

Alhamdulillah. Unfortunately most translations rely on the books of Tafseer and they suffer the same problems. I would say that Mohamad Asad is better than others, but even his translation suffers some significant problems. Sorry. We are working on a new translation, but it will not be soon. Keep watching this channel. Quality for now is better than quantity! Regards

Although I can read the Quran in Arabic unfortunately I don’t master the language therefore I rely on the translation. Now I’m finding out that the translation is distorted. I know it’s time consuming but brother you should consider translating the Quran into English

Isn't the more simple explanation that if they all enter together in one big group then that will a lot of attention to them? If they enter seperately then they can remain more anonymous? This is thousands of years ago where towns were small and most people knew each other and a sudden group of lots of men and camels or whatever entering would have made people notice them.

Don't know if this counts but a muslim doctor has found sweat to contain substances which reverse cataract. He did this on the basis that the Quran mentions Yusuf as saying throw this shirt over my father's eyes and he will see.Being a believer he wondered what would possibly be on the shirt to cure blindness and I believe he is planning to patent it.

What did Zuleka do and what did the King do (I'm aware he is referred to as king and not pharaoh as the status of being a pharaoh didn't exist, impressed that the Quran acknowledges these nuances...Happy for you to correct me). But yes I'm very keen to know about this. Perhaps you can do a segment on Bilkis, Queen of Sabah. Another interesting character although originally a pagan the Quran addresses her in a respectful/tolerant manner. Also are you active on Instagram?

This first ayat provs that Misr is not egipt.. misr its a fortified citadel/qaria , only in this way make sense the diverse doors to enter it . Its a huge historic error to put Misr of quran as egipt and to make Fir'awn (a proper name like Musa or others) being rendered as pharoh wich is not a proper name but a title.. makes no sense . Fir'awn was an yemenite/omanite as all the prophets and messengers mentioned in quran ." Even in ahadith world theres a quote atributed to the prophet saying " iman comes from yemen" while pointing in its direction. Check asir mountains, jbel chuib, marib dam, syun, and other easy identifiable names . By the way Tur sinin, is not mouunt sinai .. since word Twr means it had at lest a deep forest ot abundant vegetation. Another clue kingdom of saba was side to side with solman kingdom thats why the" bird" that that short fly coming soon to suleyman with the news... Theres a lot more evidencies. Anyway i really apreciate youre efforts and research . In the end if each one of us all do his/her part of search and share it, its alweyes productive . Sorry any mistake or misconception, if you want any documentation for my claims i will glad and humbly prsent them.

Thats my prespective since i read quran first time 20 years or.more ago. During that period i found that many other people "sense" the same while reading quran. I put this Misr question in a lot of your videos not to be "boring" but because im intersted on youre videos and i would like to know also youre opinion/conclusions. Above all , im watching youre videos and i want to thank you . Im doing a deep research about the relations between the prophets/messangers with each others and geo locations. Dear Dr. Hany. I've been viewing your work for some time. Too much emphasis though is placed on showing up how the Quran has been misinterpreted and very little on how Abrahamic Locution reveals a deeper message or teaching. With great respect, it feels to me like this great effort which can offer so much more of a teaching is squandered since all it does is show up how Mufasir's are wrong. I'm here for the life lesson. We're still waiting for how Sura Yusuf offers leadership lessons. Until then, Ta' tunna, meaning bring someone that's not with me remains semantics.
