YTP: Peedus Strolls In The Park (Collab Entry)

Parker's unwillingness to fulfill his Uncle's dreams cause a sporadic chain of events that are not entirely in Peters favour!

Everything from 1:24 on is actually a deep dive metaphor into Peter's fragile psyche. The first scene establishes him going to work, showing that he doesn't identify with his 'monster' co-workers. The immediate following scene is another example of work, but this time showing how everyone else fears it while Peter doesn't, or is unable to run from it. Peter then gets a glimpse of joy in a world of his own fantasy before having to literally swallow it down and return to reality. It then establishes that Peter gets that same amount of warmth and joy- the clouds and sun- from binge eating junk food. Alas, this leads to being stuck in the bathroom, and in the long minutes spent there he is forced to confront his thoughts about the crushing monarchy of society. His other joy would be video games, but he can no longer enjoy them because his favorite franchise, Rayman, is dead. He then goes to school where his challenge of authority is literally and figuratively shot down. Finally, the sequence ends on his greatest fears- that he will die unknown, unloved, and a shame to his Uncle Ben. All of this self-doubt seems to stem from the fact that since Uncle Ben is dead, Peter will never truly be able to get his approval. I would suggest counseling to help cope with his obvious grief.
