this YTP started eight months ago, when Savi and I decided to work together on a side-by-side 'lost episode'-style collab using 'Squidward, the Unfriendly Ghost'. unfortunately, in august i had to move to America with my family, which totally messed up my YTP schedule among other things - so it took me until today to actually finish my part! but thankfully, i think it was still worth the wait. i think these might be the best YTPs that either of us have made!

Fucking incredible. Its good to know people like you and Savi are carrying the torch and pushing the boundaries of cinematic YTP. I may have said this before but try your hand at editing a movie of some sort with standard pacing to get your timing perfect, and by the time you're out of HS you can probably have an incredible demo reel. If you took this to a production company their jaw would probably drop (happened to me once but uni wouldn't let me take the internship because it was paid). You and Savi have a promising career in editing. Don't you dare stop.

thank you so much for the kind words, and i wish the same for you as well!! :D there's a lot of different things i want to do later in life, but editing is definitely among those :P i'm thinking of doing a more 'normal' live-action webseries on the side in order to get more experience in standard editing practices and special effects - as well as putting more of these tricks into my regular animations.

If these kinds of YTPs keep coming, then it whould be more like a comedy with story in it. Making other creators try to follow this kind of YTP style. That's not a bad thing, it worked for trippy YTPs, why not more of this. Some people think that the idea of YTP is to change the source to make it more funny and shocking, but the main idea of YTP is to alter the source in any way. You can make it more funny, have an alternet story, make it more dark and scary, make it more sexual (my need to change sites for that one), or give it a message. With right amount of skill, training, programs, experience with story telling, and sence of humor, anyone can make these kinds of videos. Don't feel limited to just comedy or trippy stuff, make it what you want. Wanted Squidward to be SpongeBob, you can do that. Have some fanficton that isn't what the cool kids call "cringey", you can make that. Anyone that can make a YTP will learn more about how people will appreciate your work and have more creativity. Yes, I just said that YTP can help you in your future life. And if your a person that can't do what any of the popular YTPers can do, keep practicing and you will get better, don't give up. William is a person I appreciate for creativity, storytelling, art, music, and comedy. Also, how can humans and trolls breathe in water, I mean, I'm a fish, I can do it.

amen to that! some of my favourite youtube poops ever are story-based, and i love keeping up with poopers who make recurring episodic poop serials with ongoing plots and characters (such as The King's Epic Adventure or Adventures in Hyrule). i myself am experimenting with using running gags throughout multiple YTPs. this is one of many reasons why i think YTP is one of the coolest things on the internet - it's a scene rich in eclecticism and originality. you can do literally anything by manipulating outside sources, and it can all fit under the umbrella of KZbin Poop. and i love seeing the many different ways people can express themselves, make a point, or just tell some jokes, through their YTPs. i don't think it's something that will ever die, so long as people keep having fun on the internet. also, i dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

epilogue: spongebob and patrick are lying on a beach. an unknown amount of time has passed. the rolling waves seem more vibrant than normal, the sky a sickly green-grey. all around, shitty marble statues with squidwarp's nose rain from the heavens. some land in the ocean. spongebob glimpses squidwarp's wax effigy, with the wizard hat, standing in the ocean - but then it disappears. spongebob notices patrick. he gets up and moves over to his friend. he does not choke him - rather he just cries. the tear of the goofy goober splashes patrick's face, awaking him. patrick moves and touches spongebob's face. spongebob sniffles. 'he... really is gone, isn't he?' patrick looks around. 'yeah.' a silence. 'he's really gone up to the Great Beyond.' at once, something clicks in spongebob's head. he stares at his friend. 'patrick, say that again.' patrick stares back. '"that again."' 'no, the other thing.' '"no, the other thing."' 'no, what you said before we-' '"no, what you said before we..."'

well my old computer certainly would have been :P it was like eight years old and took absolutely forever to render YTPs back in the day. but i upgraded to a much more powerful laptop earlier this year and it does the job really well! the main render only took around 25 minutes. (though i did prerender all the 3d after effects scenes near the end :P)
