Brilliant lead player who’s turned into a very good jazz soloist too. Not many can do both. Kudos to a good guy.

Great job Wayne & Bob! Fun to watch :-) ... keep doing what you're doing. The world's a better place for it.

Bob's great. He used to do modifications for me when I needed them back in the 80's. I had a Yamaha Flugelhorn he modified for me among other things.

Louis Dowdeswell is holding his own. There was Maynard, then there is Wayne, and soon Louis
@joksal9108 Жыл бұрын
@@MinorMatt2100 Wayne plays lead in a section. That’s what “lead trumpet” means. It’s like a principal trumpeter in a symphony orchestra. That’s not the same as the guy standing up front and leading the band-Maynard, Doc, Harry James. Wayne is great at what he does, but he is not doing anything remotely like what Maynard did. Not knocking Wayne-maybe the best lead guy ever, including Jon Faddis.

Beautiful Trumpet fully dedicated for one Big Musician as Wayne Bergeron. I have and play in my Jazz Band with Yamaha YTR 6335 HG II. Fabulous instruments made by Yamaha which I had proud of in the past worked as Marketing Assistant of Yamaha Musical Brazil. Thanks Yamaha for the opportunity. Strong hug from Lindoia SP-BR. 18/4/2022 - 14:56 p.m. 👍👍👍💖💖🙏😀😀😀

Great player and article! But I also noticed the presence of an old 70s era Trident A-Range console. How cool is that?

Man wayne..Wayne... if kurt Thompson had 1% of your humility he may have done something in life. Instead he is a bitter clown. Thank you Wayne for your talent and for sharing it with the rest of us meer mortals. Peace.

Too true. When I saw that vid of Kurt bagging on Wayne it blew my mind! Wayne has forgotten more about trumpet playing than Kurt is ever going to know....

I am brass novice, playing trumpet and trombone both are Yamaha. Trumpet not easy to reach high notes compared to other trumpets like thomann a cheap trumpet, but I love the mellow dark/full sound (not sounding like thin metal) from Yamaha. Oh yes and the trombone s just unmatched!

For anyone wondering, I found out that the solo is from Wayne’s album “Full Circle” from the track “Wayn-Ology”. Such an amazing song! I highly recommend purchasing the CD from Wayne’s website!

Wayne is a god on the trumpet! Does anyone know what kind of mic that is next to the Royer 121? Just curious. You can see a little bit of it at around 1:15.

Does this new model play as open as the first generation? The first LA played to open for me.
@timjacobs49232 жыл бұрын
It is more open then the first gen
@dougburns69682 жыл бұрын
Everyone perceives openness differently. I think it is more focused. It is not more open but plenty open and slots better. I have owned both and think the Gen2 is overall easier to play

People don't understand that the LA session musician world is full of rattlesnakes. And now it's worse since so much work has left LA...very cannibalistic.
