Actually, as his partner in building this deck, and having seen this match in person, I can tell you holding Torrential was exactly what he should have done. Billy even told him so after the match. Torrential is your best resource, and firing it off at the first chance is rarely the right play.

they're continuous spells and they don 't effect the extra monster zone, actually iirc you can only ever resolve 2 of them anyway, although dinosaurs can ground collapse x2 and put down a token, but then there's just twin twister ect, & fusion gets around it by going straight to the extra deck zone, pretty much it's only slightly better than it is currently

Marcusjnmc you don't need to hit the extra monster card zone. if your opponat has 2 down diganal link monster. you ground collapse those places so they can't summon from the extra deck. if you go first you can ground collapse the 4 monster zones so even if your oppomit link summons they can't use the spots in thier monster zone to special summon from extra deck because thier ground collapse

Jacob Fay most common & competitive deck currently Zoodiacs can get a Lyca out from a single summon get Drident from the grave give it a material with Tigress & pop the ground collapse, many other decks also have monsters they can summon into the extra deck zone to pop spells, & pretty much every deck runs spell removal as well often at 3 +

Huh. I was watching and I was really confused about why Cimo dropped the C when he did. It's actually brilliant though. Because by then, they either have to commit to the play and give you a plus 2 minimum, or settle for just the drident and leave their rats susceptible to be whiptailed. Of course this only applies to your normal mirror. Infernoids could give a shit, but still. I like it.
