This was technically the first of the series I watched. I got into yugioh by complete accident😂 my uncle bought me the pyramid of light movie because he thought it was dbz (I was 9). I was so into the movie I looked up the yugioh series on KZbin and this was the first thing to pop up. I was confused at first cuz none of the characters were from the movie. eventually I realized there were multiple series. I stuck to watching 5Ds cuz it looked so cool. I got my mom to buy me a bunch of packs but I had no clue what to do with the cards until my oldest cousin came over, saw I had yugioh cards, taught me how to play and then he gave me this tin with a bunch of synchro cards. On the very top there it was, Stardust. I was so hyped and I still have it to this day. Good times

This was my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh. The riding duels was such a breath of fresh air to the series IMO. Everyone had their own unique style of battle to them. I personally prefer to watch it in the orginal Japanese version. The 4Kids dud is weak in its editing and emotional delivery. Top tier Yu-Gi-Oh.

7:30 This mattered in the West because the Ark Cradle arc was never dubbed and where 5D's ended, so dub watchers never saw Leo die and become a 6th Signer in a show called 5D's. Crow stole his moment because the original plan was for Leo to become the 5th Signer and have Crow become a Dark Signer and the final boss instead of Goodwin, but his Blackwings were too popular that it was scrapped to make him a part of the gang, including his own Signer Dragon that was never foreshadowed before with the other 5 while Leo's new dragon was the missing 5th Dragon from previous flashbacks.

Yusei's and Jack were giving their all in their duels somehow they reminded me when Pharaoh was dueling Seto Kaiba. Yusei had way more personality than little Yugi as for Jack he is similar to Kaiba in terms of brute force and arrogance. From all 3 emperors before they combined to form Aporia i personally like Primo (Placido in japanesse) he is so ruthless and cunning also Antinomy was so cool with his tech genus combos

I remember seeing a trailer for 5Ds, like right after the end of GX JP dub (Watched S4 of GX because I didn’t know there was one and curious of how it actually ends whereas the dub just scratched S4 dub out). And thought of how ridiculous “cArD gAeMs oN mOdOrcYcLEs” were but still wanted to watch for the new cards, Synchro and that Junk Warrior and Stardust Dragon captivated me. Saw the 1st episode on YT, subtitled and instantly grabbed my attention and years later till the end, not only did it become my all time favorite YGO but also one of my top favorite animes. Love synchros, hell its my main special summoning method across all YGO games. The story, the music, the characters, amazing! Love the Domino City YGOs but 5Ds is at the top. I think a year later, after 5Ds premiered in JP, the dub came and, “Going fast, makes me feel alive. My heartbeats in hyperdrive”, they freaking nailed it with the dub OP.

Yo straight facts bro! The motorcycles seemed cheesy at first but the story and new cards were undeniable! Synchros were definitely the staple of majority of my decks when I still played the TCG. Stardust dragon was the first synchro I bought and it was freaking magical 🙌🏼

(We didn't find out that there was another season of GX when the movie came out with the 3 guys). But 5Ds's first episode was shown right after and we were so immersed and fell in love with it.

I was around 13 when 5D's first aired and I just remember enjoying it so much. Especially the intro song. I grew up on Yugioh, both on the game & the shows, and I have no shame in saying that I honestly think that as far as story and character development go, 5D's is the best. The story is pretty straight forward, but it keeps you on the edge of your seat and the monsters themselves are actually really awesome. Many other people though talked a LOT of trash about it. These days however, they're now praising 5D's, saying it's almost, if not even better than the original show and it ticks me off, tbh. They seriously have the audacity to say they love this show after all the years of trash talking just because the shows AFTER it are actually trash? What a bunch of fake fans

Early mornings watching Yu-gi-oh 5Ds as a kid 😭. Instead of watching Dora I would watch Yu-gi-oh 💀. They aired at the same time, I would switch back in forth between Dora and Yu-gi-oh but eventually I would watch Yu-gi-oh 😂❤❤. It was so gooood.

The most underrated Yu-gi-oh series. Large Number of people dislike it, as it is entirely different from Yu-gi-oh or Yu-gi-Oh Gx, but I personaly like it the most. Back then it made me feel like I am watching show from grown-ups haha. The main character is far more cool and serious, and has good reason for every action he takes. Jack is badass, Crow's deck is fcking awesome, I remember it was my favorite deck when I played with it. The Stakes in the show were far more realistic and high, the story is complicated and well-written. I can go infenetely, but it will take me too long and nobody will read it :D.

I could never get into this Yu-Gi-Oh series even when the psp tag game came out. It was just too different from the original series. Not that I play duel Linkz on my phone and PC. I might get into the anime and yu- Gi-oh sevens seem ok. Sevens is just original Yu-Gi-Oh but you can draw as much cards as you want. And summon as many monsters as you want and tribute summon. My favorite serious is both Yu-Gi-Oh original and Yu-Gi-Oh GX

Since this channel uses the 4kids dub instead of the actual japanese, heres what they got wrong: Yusei pronounced Yu-say not You-sigh Carly' s love for Jack is not 1-sided Arc 4 villain "Z-one" pronounced "Zone" not z1 was the true master mind behind the last 2 arcs and travelled to the 5Ds era to prevent enerD and synchro monsters from leading to Z-one's future by putting an end to Synchros. The bonds across time movie also ties-in with a villain named Paradox (also a part of Illiaster) that also tried to rob Yusei of Stardust.
