A few fun rules - Swap atk and def of all monsters on the field (till end of turn or permanent, end of turn seems more fair) - Both players swap hands - Double current players life points - Treat spell cards like Traps and trap cards like spell cards for the rest of turn
@LemonToken212 жыл бұрын
my rules: reveal your hands. swap decks until the end of the turn. the current turn of a player can't attack until the end of the turn. select a monster's atk and the atk points of the monster you have selected is equivalent to your lp (example: monster's atk is 500, your lp becomes 500) until the end of the turn. all spell and trap cards on the field are negated until the end of the turn. lp is increased by 4000 (example: 8000 now becomes 12000) until a player inflicts dmg (when you inflict dmg like 500, your lp resets to 8000).

Fun challenges to try: Build decks where you can only have one copy of a card. (All cards limited) Tag Dueling! Play your favorite old archetypes (X-Sabers for Paul, Shaddoll for Trell, etc.) Challenge: every time you have to draw cards from the deck, you draw from your opponent’s deck. (But searching, Special Summoning from the deck, and other effects works as usual.

The problem is set in which order Will the Monsters Go. It would be set from left to right in both hand And field or the player chooses?
@Da_Poiler3 жыл бұрын
@@MarcosAlexandre-no3qx More of an idea as a special rule. The player themselves can decide which monster they would like to swap. In my head, this would help more often than it would hinder, but there could be downsides too, like your only monster having to be swapped for a bad (worse) one in your hand

Build your opponents deck but leave 10 cards open slot (build 30 cards then leave 10 cards open). Then using the same card box/organizer you used to build your opponents deck. Try to "fix" your deck with those 10 card slots. With random new rule also turned on to prevent long ass combos.
@DocRockYT3 жыл бұрын
You should have rules be applied on every turn. So you draw a card and receive a rule each turn. On example could be "draw an additional card" or it could be swap hands with your opponent until the end if their next turn". That'd be fun

You lose if you have to draw and your deck is empty. You have to draw at the very start of your turn so if you run out you're on a very short timer (unless you still have to draw more as part of a card effect, in which case you do lose immediately)

I was at my Barnes and Noble with the girlfriend and saw the Egyptian god decks of Slifer and Obelisk. She was book shopping but I went home with 2 new decks lol. Then after looking into them I got my old cards out and started to get back into it and all. The only thing I am confused or uncertain about are the whole link and xyz things. I played back in the old days of Magic Ruler and Pharaohs servant so I trying to get the hang of the new rules and summons and all. Also bought a few new packs too. Nothing beats opening up card packs at all. I found you guys and the TeamSamurai and have been watching a bunch of random videos from you both but now have been watching more of you. I am currently waiting on the new cyber strike structure deck mainly because I am sorry but Zane/Hellkaiser is my all time favorite character from GX and probably all of them so I want to 2 get 3 copies like you all did a create a decent deck with it. I doubt it would be anything near anything in the meta but for me it is just all time fun and enjoyment :). Would you all be able to make some videos explaining and showing how do or understand the whole Link summon and XYZ summon too? I think I understand synchro's but those other 2 are a bit harder to understand. I would say these would be some fun rules :): The Current person gains +1000 life points and the other player loses -1000 life points. Each player chooses a random card from their opponents hand to discard to the graveyard or Each player chooses a random card from their opponents hand to switch with (kind of like the old Exchange spell card)

unfair rules are fun, perhaps trolly and broken depending upon each rule. And part of a strategy to avoid losing due to deckout is a larger deck (that plus ability to recover from other sources like graveyard or banished) Its a matter of luck and balance though as to how useful you can make each card both individually as well as the synergy with the other cards. Which is especially important in a duel using random cards. It makes you think on your feet and consider costs vs benefits in duels like this. A few more cards that could prove useful might of given enough of a edge as fodder in a larger deck to fight the RNG possibility of deck out

I love the rules that affect both players. One criticism, can you guys make it where "the start of main phase 1, a whacky rule is applied." Then have the timer go off for the next set of whacky rules. I think it would be a little bit more consistent instead of one player ending early bc they don't have a play/combo to use. For clarity, the 30s timer is constantly going and the mp 1 rules hits every turn. I think that will punish them more for our entertainment XD
