I think a really cool video idea would be both players choose their favorite deck and then both decks get shuffled together, each player gets half of the amalgamation and then duel. I’ve done it with friends before and it’s so stupid but it’s so fun. Especially when one player gets like 5 ashes or something

As the others are saying, a list of rules that are available to the players that are removed once they have been selected with all of the rules being re-added once the list is empty, would be a good starting point for improving the rules selection. A more advanced implementation could re-add all of the rules to the list when there are only 3 rules left, but first would check to see if there are any duplicate rules, remove them, and then set it as the next rule to be revealed. This way the rules selection would be less predictable, while still having a good spread on the statistical distribution on the rate each rule has been selected.

@Slifer292 жыл бұрын
What I think would be some good rules for you guys to use in the future is to make a separate list of rules where when the rule is revealed the opponent asks The turn player A Yu-Gi-Oh related question if they answer correctly they get a rewarding effect but if they answer the question incorrectly then they get a penalty effect. For example you can think of any Yu-Gi-Oh related question if answered correctly special summon one monster from your graveyard if answered incorrectly your opponent special summons a monster from there graveyard With rules like these it has to create a little bit of like a game show kind of thing to the game and it really Tests The players knowledge of the franchise

All monsters are flipped to face down defense position. All players lose 1000 life points and draw 3 cards. During the battle phase, all monsters lose attack equal to their attack -100.

"The Turn Player must try to say that they're using the effect of Pot of Greed in a way that hasn't been said previously. If deemed successful by a judge, they can draw two cards. (Optional: A copy of Pot of Greed is sent to the turn player's graveyard from outside of the game if successful.)"
@wyattmay44562 жыл бұрын
The turn player gets one more Normal summon, but may not special summon this turn. Each player discards their entire hand and field and then shuffles their GY back into their decks, drawing 5 cards. (essentially resets the board/duel without fixing the LP) This turn Traps can be activated from the hand. Spells must be set before they can be played this turn. Players swap their hands, if one player has one or fewer cards they draw until they have two before the swap Both players set 1 monster from their deck, it's battle position can not be changed nor can it be tributed this turn. The player with the Lowes LP gains LP equal to the difference between the players The player with the highest LP looses LP equal to the difference between the players (these balance LP in different ways while ignoring the board state.) Destroy the monster with the highest ATK on either side of the field, then if the controller of that monster takes damage equal to that monsters ATK or DEF (Turn players choice) Each player shuffles their hand back into the deck and then draws as many cards as were returned to their deck. Swap decks Swap extra decks Swap control of all spell and trap cards on the field. Players must discard one card from the top of their deck to declare an attack Each player may only control one monster of any attribute Negate all monster effects until the End of your opponents next turn Play Rock/Paper/Scissors, loser pays 500 LP, winner draws one card. Destroy all monsters on your side of the field, special summon from your deck one monster whose level is less than or equal to the combined total level/rank/link of the destroyed monsters. Roll a die, each player takes turns sending cards from the field to the bottom of the appropriate deck starting with the turn player. The turn player has just activated "Evenly Matched" The turn player has just activated "Magical Mallet" The turn player must tribute 1 monster if they are able, dealing damage to their opponent equal to that monsters original ATK. Each player draws until they have 5 cards in hand The non-turn player can activat the effect of "Solemn judgment" once this turn. The turn player activates either "Harpie's feather duster" or "Raigeki" The turn player must use a die roll or coin flip to make a decision this turn. The player must clearly state their decision and what the results would mean before rolling/flipping (i.e which card to activate/target, to attack or not attack, which card to play from the hand)

@Arthas300002 жыл бұрын
You should do an Action Duel one of these days. You could get the action cards online and print them out, or make up action rules or something. During your turn, you may during each of the following phases (SP, MP1/2) roll a d6 (unless effect 1, 2, or 5 are active). 1: your opponent gets an action card if they don't already have one and you may no longer roll this turn. 2: you may no longer roll this turn. 3: you may roll again during a different phase. 4: you may re-roll immideately. 5: you get an action card if you don't already have one. You may not roll again this turn. 6: you get an action card if you don't already have one. Each player may only have one action card in hand at a time. Action spells may be activated as quick play spells from the hand, even during an opponent's turn. They go to the player's grave who played the card. They are treated as spell cards. If you draw an action trap, you may activate it from hand and resolve it immideately. Same rules apply, except it is a trap card.

@Team Aps: Their was one rulling error in your custum random rulling because the custom rules says both player must take control of each other monster, it was not possible to preferm the action, so the rules change become either a dud, and you do not get a new rules, or you could have establish if a dud happen to re-shuffle the custom rules. The rulling for creature swamp state that if the monster you pick during the resolution of creature swamp in unaffected by spell card, or by card effect non of the selected monster switch control, also you can only activated creature swamp if both player got at least one monster on the field, also if you activated creator swamp and you chain a card to destroy your only monster on the field when creator swamp resolve your opponent will still have to select the monster to give to you however it will not switch control, since the activator does not have one to exchange.
