The most tragic thing about Z-Arc is the fact that he was a literal example of an Yugioh protagonist that was pushed too far. We see that for all his fame and victory, he had no actual friends from the look of it, all he had was his dragons. Even his Name Z-Arc, who's first letter Z, is just one letter after Y. Which is the standard first letter of the first name for a Yugioh protagonist. His character and how different his counterparts were to him showed as an example, that while being at the top (like the other protags were) is great and nice, if its all you have then you really have nothing. Even Rey the girl who defeated Z-Arc was able to do so, because of someone she cared for.

The dimension dragons are one of the few good things about ArcV. Part of me wishes the other 3 had their own sub-archetypes like Odd-eyes, but their names and designs really don't fit it as well so I'm glad they didn't try lol. Shame that Zarc didn't get any good episodes about what he was like before going crazy. I really liked the idea behind the Supreme King archetype

A little bit of context about Arc V's manga counterpart for anyone that wants to know. This is a very big big big spoiler so be sure to put this in mind before you proceed, since the manga's plot has major differences and the plot twist itself is kind of huge so I'd recommend you giving it a try. For those who don't care about being spoiled, here's what happened in the manga: . . . . . . . . First thing first, in the manga, Zarc never existed, to begin with. Instead, the main antagonist of the plot and the cause of everything is an entity known as Genesis Omega Dragon, or G.O.D for short. While studying Solid Vision, a scientist named Adam accidentally found a gate to a different dimension where G.O.D resides. While trying to find a way to contain G.O.D vast amount of energy, things when out of control, ultimately, Adam decided to sacrifice himself and was finally be able to seal G.O.D into a card. At some point in the future, Yusho (Yuya's dad) and Leo (Reiji's dad) began to study G.O.D in order to find a way to utilize its energy for Solid Vision. History repeated itself, and this time, without Adam there, the world is destined to be destroyed. In a last effort to save the world, Yusho decided to use G.O.D's energy to rewind the world by creating World Illusion, sending Yuya there in the process so that he could find, destroy G.O.D and rebuild the future. (Reiji also went back in time). When there, for some reason, Yuya ended up harboring 3 other personalities within him, that of Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri. He can freely tag 1 of the other 3 out during a duel and change his playstyle accordingly. His memory turned hazy due to the impact of time travel, eventually, he became a hacker, trying to hack into Leo Corp to find information about G.O.D, also meeting Yuzu here. Later, it is revealed that the one who currently possessed G.O.D was Adam's lover, Eve. Back then, when Adam disappeared sacrificing himself, Eve took the G.O.D card and use its power to travel between times and dimensions, hoping to find her love again. Through the duel with one of Eve's henchmen, Yuya's Adam Factor awakened, causing his memory to begin slowly being constructed back. Ultimately, in the duel against Eve, Yuya finally confronted the Adam Factor and remembered everything. In reality, Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri are his brothers. During the World Illusion incident, Yusho'd actually prepared 4 escape pods for his 4 sons, but 3 were destroyed when the world fell apart, so the other 3 all agreed that the unconscious Yuya would be the one to take the final pod, while they would remain here, dying with this world. Eventually, due to time-space shenanigans, their minds ended up all inside Yuya's own. While there, Yuto destroyed all of Yuya's bad memory about the day when their world collapsed, not wanting him to remember, all the while doing whatever the 3 could in order to protect him. During the finale, the different dimension gate that Adam'd seen appeared before them, wanting to know about the one who created G.O.D, Yuya and Reiji set off into the gate, promising Yuzu that they'd definitely meet again in the future. Later, Yuzu encountered a person who claimed to be the first Duel Entertainer on the street. That person is Yusho Sakaki. The manga ended there. So, yeah, to sum it up, Yuya, Yugo, Yuto and Yuri are brothers, and Yuzu is their mother.

And if you heard of the theory of how the Yu Boys are not only reincarnates of Zarc but reincarnates of the old protagonists makes sense for Yugo to have accel synchro if him being a merged reincarnate of Zarc and Yusei is possible and also makes sense it's easy for him to give into Zarc and not have Accel Synchro, Yusei never dealt with turning evil as it never happened except in the mamga timeline of 5Ds and due to Zarcs presence and Yugo's attitude it's difficult of him to achieve Clear Mind especially if they don't have Moment in the Synchro Dimension

you missed a detail on how every dimension counterparts deck is a reference to that respective series protag. Yuya has a mix of archetypes and has monsters of the magician beast and warrior typings primarily with a more strategy based deck revolving around counter play and quickly bringing his ace to the field to make plays off of it, just like Yami and his dark magician. Yuto has a backrow and grave dependent deck with fairly weak monsters supported mostly by the xyz's in the extra deck or the cards in the backrow beefing up ad protecting the weaker monsters, to ensure plays into his xyz monsters just like Yuma with his VERY weak main deck monsters' that mostly just have effect to either stall, jump form the grave, or to augment levels so he can jump into any xyz he wants, leaning more into his backrow options like rank up magic and battle effect cards to make sure his materials either get on the board or stick to the board. Yuri runs a deck all about searching/recovering fusion methods and stalling with abysmally weak monsters that exist mostly as fusion fodder for his tool box that is his fusion monster options just like Jaden and his E-heros/ neo-spacians. Finally Yugo's machine/warrior speedroids are all about quickly getting a large variety of monsters with different levels onto the board for a number of synchro plays, mirroring Yusei's junk deck doing the exact same things with the exact same monster types. interestingly Yu-gi-oh also has a long running gimmick where every protag has a 2500/2000 level 7 monster as their main ace, while their rival has a 3000/2500 level 8 as their ace. the Z-ARC quintuplets (with the acception of yuri) all have BOTH cards likely because they are both their own protagonist AND each others main rival.

You forgot to mention that the four dimensions dragons are references to previous protagonist or series; Odd-eyes - Dark Magician Starving Venom - Yubel Clear Wing - Stardust Dragon Dark Rebellion - Dark Mist There is a lot of references if you can tell or at least have an encyclopedia knowledge of the series, after all Arc-V was meant to be an anniversary series.

I'd say Starving Venom is Dark Panther more they have the same name and effect stealing ability and I guess Odd-Eyes could fit since Dark Magician is the ace of Yugi, but why not Osiris since they're both red and arguably the weakest of the their own monster series' without proper support

I would say Starving Venom is more Heraldry Crest since it has the ability to copy the effect of another monster on the field and both monsters look pretty evil

I absolutely love this video after watching Arc V it became my absolute personal favourite of all the Yugioh series I personally own the Four Dimension Dragons AKA the Four Heavenly Dragons in both TCG and OCG in every single rarity I love every episode where Yuya and his dimensional counterparts would summon their own Dragons I even own their evolved forms their hybrid forms their corrupted forms in both TCG and OCG i even built my own Dimensional Dragon deck and it’s my favourite and best deck that I have ever built and played in tournaments.

@@konikonitrainerwill5969 it was one of the manga counterparts to regular odd-eyes dragon, also the wind fusion vortex dragon, fire synchro meteorburst dragon and water xyz absolute dragon. i think both arc-v and vrains ended incomplete, arc-v because they spent too much time on synchro dimension and had to rush fusion and the end of the series, vrains ended super early and i don't know why maybe because they wanted to start sevens and sell rush duel products or maybe because they wanted to chane the master rule so all non link or pendulum extra deck summons wheren't limited to the extra monster zone and link arrows anymore

Due to dimension force, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon gained a Predaplant form (that is always treated as a Predaplant monster), and Odd-Eyes gained another Ritual Variant that is now a Ritual Pendulum monster (fun fact, that is the First time we got a Ritual Pendulum)

What I found weird about Arc-V was whenever the Z-ARC boys or Ray Girls are confused for each other even though they all have different Eye color, Hair color, and outfits and its not just that oh they could have changed those thing because on multiple occasions they were seen one after the other within a few second

Supreme King Z-Arc being an merge or overlay of all the other D-Dragons could be a reference to Zexal since Yuma and Astral overlayed themselves in order to create Zexal

@@andreabigioggero1970 i know that but it’s the idea of overlaying multiple beings or souls that are all parts of the same person. Yuma and Astral were the same person but Astral’s soul was fragmented into 2 beings Astral and Yuma. Each Dimensional Dragon represents the very soul of the fragments that makes up Z-Arc being Yuya, Yuto, Yugo and, Yuri. In the same way that Yuma and Astral can Overlay/Merge themselves to become Zexal the Dimensional Dragons Merge/Overlay themselves to become Supreme King Z-Arc. (Same with the Yu Boys and becoming Z-Arc)

Fun theory: blue-eyes *white* dragon, and red-eyes *black* dragon are sort of neighbors of the four dragons. Because they represent the rarity of the power of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that konami creates.
