Torchu325 Mm....Kids' WB!...tasty. I would kill for that new HD Yugi-O remaster to get dubbed properly. I love the old voices, as I said, but I do believe the fanbase has grown up enough to see uncensored Industrial Illusions guns. And twisted shit like the spinning razor against Yugi's feet. And people dying. Honestly, the Shadow Realm was more daunting than plain old death. It was almost literally Hell on Earth.
@Torchu2129 жыл бұрын
***** I see your point, but the original dub was edited to be kid-friendlier, which meant changing or removing things. What the 4Kids haters fail to realize and/or don't care about is that Saturday mornings are more strict with their standards. Let's face it, 4Kids basically was following rules with their censorship.

This theme song really set itself apart from the rest of the English songs of animes back in the day. It was far darker and more foreboding in tone than anything else on any cartoon channels, genuinely scaring me a little when I was a kid, just before it kicks into the heroic final bit of the song. It was like it was telling kids that even if the world tries to hurt you and the monsters and fiends in your life are scary, all it takes is to step up and face the horrors and you can overcome anything.

20 years later and this song still kicks ass! I was six when this released in America! Good times. Good times... man I miss being a kid. The 90s and early 2000s were the best time to be a kid when the best of the best kids programs were starting to hit their stride. We had Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and we had all these Saturday morning cartoon blocks like KidsWB, Fox Kids and so much more. And while CN, Nick, and DisChnl all survived Saturday morning cartoon blocks aren't even a thing anymore... How times have changed... 😢

There are still a few good animes these days but for someone born in 1983 , the days of saint seiya, sailor moon captain tsubasa dragon ball and dbz,rurouni kenshin.. Personally yu gi oh was really good but i've seen only the original , never felt compeled to see gx, and next seasons i would love to see something in the afterlife or atem's origin's in an anime serie

I'd just like to point out that Yugi and Kaiba were both thrust into that situation by Pegasus. Kaiba knew that if just asked Yugi to help him take down Pegasus, Pegasus would probably have ripped up Mokuba's soul card, meaning the Kaiba was completely out of options. He had to win no matter what. Yami might have been willing to kill in order to save Grandpa but Yugi (a small boy with a heart of gold) wouldn't take that step. Kaiba knew this and therefore deemed the match as illegitimate after Duelist Kingdom. Goes to show that whilst Kaiba was a jerk, he wasn't a complete villain. More of an anti hero.
