Beautiful deck. This was the start of HERO for me, great video.

I remember when I was child, finding thid decklist in a Yu-Gi-Oh magazine that was coming aout at the time, in my country. I decided to build it and it was amazing, no friend could beat me and I I began to understand and enter the competitive world of Card Games. Ygo, Mtg, Pokemon...but it all start here, with this Hero deck 💚

Loveeeee this deck. One of my favorite decks ever. I remember seeing it when Jeff ran it and loved the concept. Jeff has always been one of the best deck builders in the history of the game.

Man, I love elemental heroes and I'm glad to finally see the first ever competitive deck profiled.

Well, TeleDAD > Everything. But yes, Hero was an anti-meta deck during Tele-DAD.

One question, why do you think this deck didn’t main deck any cyber dragons? Pretty sure cd was staple during this time and I thought it would have good synergy considering low number of monsters in this deck.

Gotta play this in Edison. Such a good deck.

I've seen that list. Looks sweet.

This is one of the first vaguely competitive decks I built, though I remember using E-Hero Woodsman and Polymerization My friends and I played with OCG cards so having access to Absolute Zero may have affected my build? Can't remember too clearly, but curious if anyone else has messed around with Woodsman?

Hi this deck is good for edison format?
@m1das116 ай бұрын
Skyscraper 2 hasn't seen much play in Edison. The use of Ocean, Neos Alius and a skyscraper (original) is common in hero beat, but other heroes like wildheart have been powercrept.

@@YGOHistory I think the only thing I am missing is 3 wildheart, 2 skyscraper 2 and 2 R righteous justice. I've already purchased a ton of 2007 cards in the past from your videos and gotten a few of my friends into the format.

Awesome. I actually recently bought the foreign secret R's off there for less than $2 each.

Why do you say "pseudo"-staple? Whats the difference between a pseudo staple and a real staple
@YGOHistory2 жыл бұрын
Premature Burial was once a staple. Now people often cut it when playing older formats. There are also some cards (ex. MST) that would likely be found in 85%+ of decks that I think reach that level - even without hindsight. A true staple is Snatch Steal that is run in DDT, Demise, Big City AND the typical Machine/Hero/Monarch decks.
@Apocralyph2 жыл бұрын
Pulling the Rug is super powerful, but I would be too afraid of T-Hero (particularly going second) and Machines to main it. Having a dead defensive card against these decks just feels like you're going to get OTK'd a lot. It would still be in my side though.
@YGOHistory2 жыл бұрын
Both of those decks really took off after Philly. T-Hero was still underplayed and Machine was about a month off from seeing a spike in popularity.
@Apocralyph2 жыл бұрын
It was definitely a solid choice at the time when Cyber Phoenix decks were not really popular yet. But if I were to play Troop Dupe today I would look for alternatives, although it is really hard to find good cards against Machines.
