Are you doing an impression of Mai's voice for season 4(the Waking the Dragons story)? I just finished the original anime and i really didnt like that new voice actor for Mai Valentine. At first i thought it was because she was under the influence of the seal of Oricalcose but i learned that they got a new voice actor and she sounds really wrong Mai Valentine. That first voice actor gave her a strong independent tone.

Duelist kingdom setting yet not duelist kingdom rules? If those decks are accurate for the times, those decks are not meant to be used with updated rules.

Yeah the entire game is in master rules 4 format. I get why they did it but it's still really stupid. The original PS4/XBONE game doesn't have that issue though, it's master rules 3. Link summoning really killed the previous formats. People always say that with every new mechanic, but links was the one I can actually agree with it on.

@@ryanbarker3978 I meant the tribute summoning mechanics for duelist kingdom. If the decks in the new system are accurate or very similar to what they were in the original series, just having to tribute summon will make it harder.

Right? I just finished the 5ds story and it was so frustrating, they still give you the same extra deck as if nothing changed, I had a useless shooting Quasar Dragon in the final duel

felix josue velazquez Technically you can get more than one extra deck monster on the field if you special summon from the graveyard but that requires your monster to be in the graveyard in the first place so pretty useless

I ran into that issue while watching someone else's playthrough of this. There were several time where, if not for the stupid Extra Monster Zone rules, the LPer could've pulled off some crazy plays.

It should be done by rules from that generation for each story mode, limiting cards from that era so you cannot just run wild with newer cards, and online play with the same options.

@@dustinremington7791 Or at least give you the option to not use Master Rules 4 and Links. I can live with using post-Battle City rules for Duelist Kingdom and updating Story Decks to make them less garbage, but MR4 in GX to Zexal is just terrible.
