The owner replaced Marron with the mechanical counterpart after he couldn't find him, once Marron found his way home he saw his master playing with his new mechanical dog instead of him and this is what drove him to become the mad dog of darkness

And what if his master created the mecha dog as a replacement delving into science himself driven by the desire to get his dog back but realising that mecha marron will never be able to replace marron and realising marron is likely dead he experiments on reanimating corpses reanimating some people who wanted to be such as lady in wight and wight servent then leaves instructions on how to reanimate himself and as the creator of this technique he is heralded as wight Prince but yet still in search of his dog for a thousand years until he eventually finds him and realising his boy never gave up on him as he thought he had returned marons soul to purity and he is reunited with his long lost best friend.

OHMYGOD!! I REMEMBER that episode and I ALWAYS try to forget it because it's SO sad😭. What's worse is that at the end Fry finally finds his beloved dog's remains which CAN be used to reanimate/clone him with all his memories intact (gotta love Furturama technology😏) BUT that ASSHAT Fry decides at the LAST second "this was for the best" and LEAVES him. And then the flashback plays of the dog's ordeals. How he waited, at times in the POURING rain, for MANY days which turned to WEEKS which turn to MONTHS which turn to YEARS!! Until he DIED😭😭😭😭 DAMN you Fry you self-incest SONOFABITCH!!😡😡😡

My personal view of Mecha-Dog Marron is that Marron's owner, overcome by grief, created Mecha-Dog Marron to fill the hole. Thus explaining the different tag, It's a different being.

I used to play the Yu-gi-oh! Card game when i was much younger but had no idea these cards had backstories or were related at all. Konami or whoever wrote these descriptions knew what they were doing and there is mystery and intrigue in alot of them. It's amazing how good these are they leave lots of room for the imagination by being vague.

About the the theory of Marron's timeline as he/she "lives", I reccently made one after watching this: what if Marron's owner made the Mecha Marron after he lost his hope to find his dog, and that made Marron easily corrupted by darkness due to that dog's negative emotion after he knew that he's been replaced. Just a hunch tho but when it comes to attack points, they theory u tell us is much more convincing. Really great lore tho

What I think is really cool is if you think about the lure of the lightsworn and you look at how perfectly marron's effect messes with their effects. You could see it as an alternate timeline where Marin is adopted by the lightsworns
