Late to this party but I've been playing a variant that subbed the Solemn package out for Ash/Droll handtraps and ran some extra Rikka monsters along with Miracle Fertilizer. I was inspired by your inclusion of Erica and decided to go a little harder on the Rikka lineup. I've dropped Evil Thorn for the time being, but I like having the utility of some extra Rikkas. The full Primula lineup feels like a must now with Rikka Queen Strenna as one of our key toolbox cards. For that reason I've also been testing one Cyclamen; Strenna is just so necessary and Cyclamen makes playing extra Rikkas like Erica better via the level reducing effect. Before, the basic Snowdrop/Mudan/Primula/Petal lineup was all you would want to run, but now that we have more extra deck option, other Rikkas become better. Strenna also makes Hellebore and Erica better in the sense that it recycles them back to your hand to be used again and again. I'm also testing a single Hellebore to see how that works out. Overall, I've always loved tertiary and anti-meta decks. The tribute mechanic combined with cute anime girl plants is really sweet and feels good to play into a lot of otherwise meta decks. We also have a ton of room for traps like Solemn or handtraps that can mess with meta decks.

Nice deck profile! I've been playing Rikka since infinity chasers, also playing the plant generaider in my deck like you lol. I only play petal at 2 because it bricked a little too much in my "personal" experience. Love these types of videos glad I found this!

I've been considering main decking super poly into my rikka deck with the predaplant fusions and mudragon. Although mudragon isnt a plant its effect can protect the rikkas from card effects since theyre all water and its lvl 4 so you can xyz it off for strenna if you need your petal to come back. Just a thought, havent tested it yet.

You can always play Instant Fusion. If you tribute Mudragon for Mudan or something else. Primula will special summon herself.

Whaaaat. Rikka deck profile? insta-thumbs up. Great profile . Covering the basic needs for the deck. Low coverage, so its low on option to optimize. Deck theory is fun. Plants just got a new R9 Negate. Divine Treebeast High Peryton. Requires any 2 Lv9s, Only restriction is whatever you detach, you're locked into that as the target card type for its negate effect/destruction.

I’m trying to buy some Rika fairy cards because I thought of an interesting strategy that might work with Lair of darkness and Ivy shackles. Also, since this is a deck full of water monsters, Hope Woven Dragon Shark may not be a bad choice for the extra deck.

You could run Pollinosis in the traps! And omni negate that tributes a plant instead of paying LP, so you can get some effects off and negate

AkemiTCG has some live duels and online play-commentary of Rikka gameplay against a really good spread of deck types. Rikka's seem to be a set pass kinda of deck, but youre popping and clearing your board to extend. It's honestly not complete imo but it will probably get banned before that. You can actually pretty unfair things to your opponent. It's just the tribute mechanic is "unconventional" for most peoples' liking.

They just announced a new Rank 9 plant coming in Armed Dragon box for OCG. Its basically a Sylvan. Divine Treebeast High Preyton. Both Jasmine's will see some play. Laurel and Angelica. Maybe 1 of copy of Rosemary for Glamour search.

You should do a duel with this deck vs witchcrafter. I wanted a "waifu" deck and I ended up choosing witchcrafter because everything got reprinted for stupid cheap. Now I'm curious as to which one of these fun decks are better.

I could be wrong but I think maybe witchcrafters with the access to floodgates like summon limit and secret village. It really depends on stuff like siding/ builds. Another situation I would see is if witchcrafters pass with 1 boss, rikka could just flurries the boss, might go into teardrop and kanzashi and try to go for an otk. Just depends.
