These set reviews are insightful and nostalgic! I think one other card that deserves mention is Cold Wave -- maybe it was not played that often when the set came out but it eventually saw a lot of meta play.

I remember back when Pharaoh Servant just got released. I shit you not, I bought two packs from a freshly opened box and pulled a 1st Ed Jinzo and 1st ed Call of the haunted. One of best pulls ever.

My brother ran a deck with Jinzo, Relinquished, Dark Necrofear and Fairy Meteor Crush. I couldn't beat him until IOC came out and I traded for a BLS EOB. His deck won so much, someone stole it at my Aunts house and hid it under a rug, we only found out after Hurricane Katrina flooded everything

Nah buster blader was a good card. You got 2600 atk. Only thing that can beat that is blue eyes at the time. Buster blader gains 500 atk per dragon. Blue eyes is now the bitch.
