Always interesting to hear your card theories and tournament experiences. Overall, your explanations make sense. I think Chaos MAX is weird spot with Droll & Lock Bird being prevalent this format which is why I'm considering Called By the Grave and Crossout Designators in my deck. About a year ago you said Nadir Dogmatika engine powercrept Sage with Eyes Blue, but to this day I still can't completely grasp why. I know Nadir is a great engine if you put in N'tss, but in the context of Blue-Eyes, if you send like an Alba-Lenatus or Chimerafflesia and get the search, you still have to wait until the next turn. Whereas Sage when used from the hand gets a Jet out immediately.

@@mojo873 True, I was thinking in terms of getting Blue-Eyes searched. In fact, I don't even think Nadir lets you search Jet. The search requires going through a Fusion Deployment to get out BEWD.

@@ChaosDarkLight True, but Sage is almost never being used to get the vanilla, and from a card advantage standpoint, Nadir is still able to do that with a much better trade into card advantage. A normal summon of Sage goes +1 and Sage's in hand effect goes minus 1. A single resolution of Nadir can give you the in hand monster negate, similar to Veiler, a special summon of Blue-Eyes, similar to Sage, draws you a card, and other general utility all without even using your normal summon. Sage has similar versatility, but as mentioned the card has just been powercrept drastically.

@@mojo873 Yeah you're right. The only thing Sage has over it is being able to summon Jet and not having to take up extra extra deck space. The latter reason, in my case particularly, is why I can't use the Nadir engine in my Blue-Eyes deck.

@@ChaosDarkLight It actually can get you to Jet since it can get you to Branded Fusion lol But keep in mind, that statement was made in the context of the Midrange/Control variants which are all about snowballing. Combo variants of Blue-Eyes are either winning or losing the game by the 3rd turn lmao

I got to try this deck for a bit at locals. Had some really fun moments, but ultimately, I couldn’t win many duels with it. Even after having the full board, they had an out for Chaos MAX. It was crazy! I think it’s mostly because my locals (different OTS stores btw) have so many different rouge deck players. And I bricked a few times too. Lol. Also, all the Kashtira players I faced had the easiest time with me. Got rid of Iblee, Chaos MAX and stopped my other counter plays. All thanks to Scareclaw Kash that basically negates Chaos MAX’s effects so that Fenrir can banish it with ease. It was rough. Haha 😅 Still love Chaos MAX though. One of my favorites. Heard that the new Black Luster Soldier card from Maze of Memories helps a lot for Chaos MAX. What do you think of it? 🤔

I'm glad you had a lot of fun with the deck! The new BLS monster seems like a powerful addition to the deck, but I think the deck is in a weird spot right now since everyone is maining Droll

True there. Sometimes I wish Chaos MAX was an "Unaffected by card effects" monster just to keep up with so many powerful cards. Also, we need a Blue-Eyes Link card soon! Haha. Btw, you planning to use the new Cyberstorm cards for Blue-Eyes? With the new Apple Dragon Tuner, it makes summoning Barrone, Bystial Dis Pater & Chaos Angel. Plus more branded stuff too!

@@SonicLink125 the synchro piles have too many weaknesses to see consistent success, unfortunately. Still want to lab out possibilities with them though! Branded Blue-Eyes is still extremely strong.
